Highly informative video for a novice like myself. I strongly recommend TTA performance. Joe has gotten my 81 T/A running at peak performance and I’m thankful to him for it. 👍🏻
Great video. How the H@ll you can do it with one hand and I am nearly standing on my head using both hands and still can't get it to line up. Keep up the great videos.
You can set your base initial timing exactly BEFORE ever starting the engine, and this includes HEI, points, hall effect, optical, TFI, ect., except DIS of course. This way there is NO doubt your timing is "dead nuts" when you turn the key for the first time, the engine will fire immediately, no need to turn the distributor trying to get it to start,.. like a rookie.
The turbo distributor in 1980 has a specific timing curve and a special 5 pin ignition module that uses a spark control box and a knock sensor. The spark control can be by passed. It is best to use the original distributor due to the specific timing curve. Is there something wrong with your original distributor?
i have noise coming from the pollution pump line that isn't connected to the cat, I could have it connected or just delete the cat and pump, what is your opinion?
I know you make your business off working on peoples cars and selling the parts but is there any way you can do more how-to videos. Like on how to install the the different parts that you sell for those of us who can't get our cars to you.
