Being a "complimentary piece" should mean that you can get buckets when your team needs it. Khris Middleton is perhaps the best example of a complimentary piece, but he is still looked at to put points on the board down the stretch. DMills is completely correct. It's crazy, cause when people say stuff like that, I expect to be the folks that just look at box score. But I know this man watches a lot of basketball.
