Ever wondered what zero-g feels like? In the third year of the Aerospace Engineering bachelor students participate in a very special practical session. During this so-called 'flight test' students measure several parameters while the airplane performs a few specific maneuvers. This data is used afterwards in a project linked to the course Flight Dynamics. Although the practical includes several maneuvers, it is known for one maneuver: the parabolic flight. First the airplane climbs steeply and then dives steeply, flying a path that looks like a parabol. While diving everyone inside the plane experiences zero gravity!
