This comment is super late as i'm on ps5 but do you perhaps remember what skills got removed when you ded the leg upgrade I had ones but it either removed a point in burst or intrepid heart
Definitely keep making these they’re amazing! Super well made thanks for the effort. Although I can make builds alone it’s nice to hear what you build and adjust. Thanks.
I just got into Rise after playing MHNow. It's my first monster hunter game, and I immediately fell in love with the switch axe. Thank you so much for this guide!
Sorry bout that comment before testing things out Main point I’m looking at this build and I may be able to swap things out to make it fit my less elemental build will have to do testing though nice video otherwise
Man these sets are looking fun! I really enjoyed having intrepid heart as a comfort skill back in TU2, so it's pretty epic to think of pairing it with Powder Mantle, the synergy works so well. In terms of charms, the only time I was lucky before they brought in the new melding option was one with Crit Eye lvl3 that has one lvl3 slot and two lvl1 slots. am happy with the QOF things that they did for TU3 Thanks for another great video Drew!💪😎
Yeah I grew too attached to intrepid heart in TU2. So naturally just kept it with new sets this update. I’ve come across some moments this update though where I just instantly cart from being double hit though haha. Yeah I just stopped melding since TU1 because it seemed fruitless to hope for a better talisman than I’d already got. But now I’m eagerly back at Kagero every quest!
Are you planning on making a blood rite build? I love the comfiness of blood rite but I haven’t seen a lot of people making videos on it. Would love to have a video on a blood rite build with actually decent damage.
Yeah, it's a especially tough playing element since the element attack takes up so many slots that you would put in something like that. These don't even really fit speed sharpening. However it's worth noting how small of a loss it is to just swap in some comfy skills like stun resist. We've reached a point where so much can be fit into a build that you're already very strong whether those last points go into stun resist or not.
I'm with you on that one haha specially on Anomalies. My workaround is swapping Grinder decos for Stun Resist and using Whetfish to sharpen, since I have a lot of them.
Does purple sharpness worth it for grounded style? I can fit it in, however i have sacrifice few skills like, evade extender 1 instead of 2 and no wirebug whisperer. I also use MoH 2 and 1 coalescence instead of AB4 since few of the armor pieces you listed above already augmented with skills that doesnt benefit elemental SA build. I prefer WW 1 and EE 2 since i already familiar with them with my exhaust build, and honestly, dps wise, they're not that different lol.
Purple sharpness will give about 5% more raw damage and 8.7% more element so it’s a decent amount of damage. You can weigh that worth against the skills you would lose. But for some SAs you need to invest a lot get purple. I personally think purple is especially important for element builds.
@@AifritGaming true, but none of the elemental set you showed have purple sharpness, maybe except for narwa since it only need 1 level handi to make it purple, i guess ill have to stick to white for the rest of them, unless i have godly rapid morph 3 with 2-2-0 and other useful skills. Currently i have speed sharpening 2, ee 1 2-1-1 and rapid morph 3, water attack 2, 2-2-0 which is actually already good enough.
Awesome! For the other elements, for the most part the element phials end up doing more. But if you like power phials rathalos is good and daimyo is also good but you need handicraft for it to reach purple
@@AifritGaming yeah handicraft is kinda tricky since it really need the PP3 for maximum amp duration but I will try it as well maybe the counter move can sustain it :)
Man, why does every weapon I love, become element focused. Started with Generations, maining LS and Swaxe and in GU too, though I played Bow and HBG too in GU, where raw builds were still good and possibly even better than element. Mained GS in World and skipped Iceborne because of clutchclaw literally making a decent game like World literally unplayable garbage. World made Bow element focused, Sunbreak made LS element focused, Swaxe is now element focused. I miss the old skill system where you couldn't fit a 100 skills in one build.
For what it's worth, while true that element is most effective in most situations, status raw is pretty strong and comparable. Just running poison/blast is probably within single digit percentages in terms of damage difference and is just stronger in certain low element match ups. Not much to say in terms of the number of skills though, everything just has 100 skills now.
@@AifritGaming I know the difference isn't huge, but my min/max brain sees a 1% difference as massive. Also I sort of just wanted to vent about new world vs old world skill system lmao. I gotta say say though, thank you for the build guides my man.
Just a preference for zinogre. Both are quite close because of the extra raw damage from zinogre ends up being very similar to the extra damage on Narwa. I think you may be able to use the chaotic gore armor instead to get somewhat similar skills.
When do you unlock Skill+ on quiros augments? I'm at A113 and MR153 so maybe I'm still too far from where I need to be? Also, I think my build I can take out some AtkBoost for Crit Eye and Burst, though Kushala's blessing and Recov. Up are such a godsend for the hard hitters.
It might be 120 because I had it available as soon as I got the update. I’m not 100% sure but I imagine you can’t be that far off! Yeah Id say if you have comfort skills you like prioritize keeping it them with the current state of end game. One mistake is pretty costly these days and having that cushion to not cart is a good time saver. We do so much damage already with the amount of skills that fit into a build.
Nice builds. My RM3 WW2 2-1-1 charm came in handy again, although sticking LV2 jewels into LV4 slots just rubs me the wrong way. Hopefully the next update will give us Attack+, Expert+, Tenderizer+, and Critical+ Jewels - all probably Level 4 decorations, although I could maybe see the first two being Level 3, then giving us a Hard Attack Jewel 4 and Hard Expert Jewel 4 (both worth 3), given that both need 7 points to max out. You made an error in the Thunderclap build - you have a Jumping+ Jewel 4 on the Chaotic Gore head, but have Handicraft 2 and Evade Extender 1 in the "relevant skills" area. Might want to fix that. Also, maybe you could add a build for the Valstrax SA? For that, I'd drop Speed Sharpening and Protective Polish for Critical Element 3 or something since it has so much white sharpness that you can sharpen when moving between zones on your doggo.
Awesome builds and breakdowns, thanks for all the helpful info! Curious to know what are your thoughts on element exploit tho? Since it requires a lower value than the rampage deco did to trigger (from 25 to 20 on monster parts) I've noticed that it is viable in a lot more monsters than the ramp-deco used to be. Would you say it's not really worth it still regardless? Cause' on paper the 15% extra elemental damage sounds nuts, especially for elemental phials (which I primarily use). Thoughts?
Thanks! One point is always very good and it should come with the chaotic gore helm. However getting the second and third point gets a lot less value since it’s just 2.5% each. So it competes more with other armor skills in terms of compared value. It’s still pretty good but will be similar in strength to critical element for the 2nd and 3rd point.
Good question, I think I would drop intrepid heart for archfiend legs. Very efficient piece for running dereliction. Possibly try to fit in the Flespinas hands to try to get intrepid heart back. For bloodlust I think I would just roll the dice on augments until I hit a bloodlust augment. Too much is lost seeking armor for just bloodlust I think. I don't really put these into practice though. You may have more success looking at speedrunner builds from Juzzi or Kage or Fox Invictus as they actually use the skills unlike me. Their talismans might be a little juiced but should at least have a gear template.
back in base rise I quite enjoyed Axe mode with the changes... more then sword's new playstyle. -new as I'm old gen player who skipped world- have you ever tried playing axe mode mostly? I just got amp then switched to sword and never pressed R till amp ran out. I know in expansion they added alot more skills to buff sword mode with the wirebug moves, but I never used those really.
Rise + Sunbreak is probably the most I've used axe mostly because gameplay revolves a lot around morphing back and forth between them. Though axe exclusive not so much, more or less 50/50.. It's not quite like iceborne where you can just play axe mode and go for flinch/partbreaks. Capcom did add the power axe buff to improve partbreaking but unfortunately the buff is lost when you become amped so it doesn't quite feel as good.
Sick element build, I'm really enjoying element swaxe and this seems like a good upgrade over my current setup, and much more comfy too! Although, question I was somewhat curious on asking: What is your thoughts on swapping protective polish for potentially augmented Bladescale Hone? I like it a lot, since I run Wirestep (Don't use the ZSD a lot so having the extra mobility and incredible dodge potential is much more preferable to me), and a good timed wirestep can recover a fair bit of sharpness! Worth mentioning you don't even need to run evade window for wirestep, since it doesn't help at all from what I've tested
My main concern with bladescale hone is that a lot of sharpnesses on the element phials are just barely 10 hits. So you'll likely drop out frequently unless you dodge every ~10 hits. The power phials have more hits of purple where this might be okay depending on how frequently you proc. Since effectiveness of bladescale is based on the player, all that matters is whether or not you are mostly staying in purple sharpness. Polish let's you stay for 90 seconds at a time so you have to compare against that.
@@AifritGaming Hmm, That's fair! I'll try out polish a bit extra to see how it feels comparatively, but I can definitely see what you're saying and agree with that take! I'm gonna have to grind a bunch for the proper augments anyways, so I'll have a lot of time to test
Certainly! We’re at a point where there’s so much room for skills that a lot of things work out to be more or less the same. So really does come down to preference.
