Totally Outrageous. Righteous, Second Line Funky !!! So Fine. Ms Shaye n' her Very Fine Fat Tuba Band and the incomparably great Clarence Williams, all together in one wonderful tableau. What more could anyone long for?

Thank you, Daniel. When Clarence Williams recorded this tune with his band - 'The Clarence Williams Jazz Kings' - in New York on 28 May 1929, Williams himself was on piano. He had nobody playing a banjo or guitar. Tuba Skinny as usual show great respect for the original. For example, after the Introduction, Shaye and Craig (from 00:07 to 00:49) take a turn each at playing the melody while the other plays the catchy response phrases, just as Ed Allen and Arville Harris did in the 1929 recording. Also, like Clarence Williams, Tuba Skinny play the tune in the key of F, until the introduction of the new 16-bar theme (01:52) where they switch to B flat. What a super Coda, too (04:37 to 04:55): you don't find that on the Clarence Williams original.
