Sometime late 2013 I think in the Swinging Arm in Birkenhead. When Steve left the band we had to find a bass player and a singer, we couldnt find a permanent bass player and ended up with 4 who were all in gigging bands and whoever wasnt gigging on the night was who played with us. Fortunately we found a great singer Frankie who also happened to be a decent guitarist and the music sort of naturally went in a heavier direction but with a few 80s synth pop tunes thrown in, one of my guilty pleasures is learning synth lines on guitar so Tubeway Army was in as was Dont you want me by the Human League. The zombie film music was on a lot of adverts at the time and the dissonance and heaviness of it made a big impact on me and we used it to open up with a few times. Dug out the old Washburn Mercury for these gigs and lent Frankie the weed leef Jackson. Paul Stewart on drums, Frankie Ryan on guitar and vocals, Frankies mate Richie on bass and me on the other guitar.
