I picked up a guitar when I was a kid and from that moment I knew one day I could try to tame the beast, 40 something years later and im still tryin. I started this channel to rant and rave at things that annoyed me on youtube hence the name then decided to throw a couple of videos up, then a few more and a few more . Credit goes out to all the outstanding musicians from my old bands El Gringo and Skydogg who I played with and all the people who got roped into holding the camera for us at gigs. My favourite guitar players are David Gilmour and Joe Satriani and I love all instrumental guitar music especially that whole shred scene , Becker, Friedman, Gilbert etc to the unbelievable fusion guys Gambale, Howe, Garsed etc and very much into Frank Zappa and Ozric Tentacles and grew up on Floyd, Gong and Hawkwind.
I saw one of the shows on this tour and was a bit disappointed. He came across as a sad individual, quite bigoted with a massive chip on his shoulder. It was hard to watch and the best parts were the singalongs at the end of each half.
@xlp3t3r Yeah some of the show went quite deep and disturbing but you get what you see with John Lydon the truth and no bullshit, some great stories from the Sex Pistols days and PIL
@@WeightlessBallastyeah ... because the Ramones, the Stooges and the MC5 didn't completely pave the way for Johnny and the Pistols. They had good songs but let's be honest, if it wasn't for the fashion statement, the Bill Grundy incident and the Sid and Nancy drama, they'd be just another band lost in the shuffle.
Spectacular: a 3 piece band really in the pocket! Feeling the groove! Equally amazing Drums, Bass & Guitar! Timeless & beyond inspirational! one Angry Biko ROCKS - Thank you from: Rochester, Minnesota - USA - Planet Earth - Milky Way Galaxy - Greatness! Best Billy Cobham cover EVER!
Thanks for your kind words, Skydogg was a great band to be a part of and it was the first time I’d been in a 3 piece band and was a learning experience on filling out the sound on certain tunes, this tune though was a pure pleasure to lock into and always improvised the solo sometimes it worked sometimes not so good 🎸
I love me some koa wood but Breedlove sounds much better imo. koa very bright (too bright for me) lacks mid and low range. very metallic sounding. Breedlove warmer much more balanced ...and looks better ;) good job on the comparison playing 👍
I think it was when this was getting played at Waters In The Flesh tour at Manchester MEN Arena that my brother hit a whitey lol...too funny. What a show.
I've seen Gilmour a few times & Waters too. The live performances Waters has done of the Animals stuff are mesmerising. Why has Gilmour left these songs out of the sets? I think they are musically some of his best creations.
Love it. Me & an old bandmate played this at our best pals' wedding (also an old bandmate) whilst they were signing the registrar. We played on really good nylon classical guitars, with fingers of course & you coulda heard a pin drop. I think he told his wife & everyone else that we were gonna play something Spanish & romantic lol...oh I also played the guitar solo to The Doors Light my Fire. God knows how he got away with that ( His Mrs didn't know lol) Perhaps that was his last act of Rock n Roll as the ink was drying lol. This song is the 1st thing I play when I pick up a nylon.
Wow. Nice one & totally loved the improvisation. See...learning all that thrash when you were wee has defo paid off lol. Worked well & what a great way to express your talents. Well done Scozza.
Like I've always said (being a guitarist & massive Floyd fan) "Yeah Waters may have been the creative, best songwriter, visionary & concept guy with all the idea's in his head & even fully demo'd before bringing to the band BUT Floyd sound the way they do & all they songs are so, so, so beautiful cause of Gilmour. I don't get then how Waters can take ALL the credit for most of it & I don't get how Gilmour let him away with "Written by Roger Waters - Performed by Pink Floyd"...It should have been... "Written by Roger Waters - Performed by Pink Floyd & made sound fucking unforgettable by David Gilmour" lol.
Your video is so valuable and precious. I am looking at your video like a dream. As if in a dream yesterday, I like your video so much and thank you for comforting my heart. One day, your video will resonate with many people and give a feeling that the beautiful world will change. Your video makes my weary heart warm and happy. Yes. The countless stars shining in the winter night sky are each beautiful, but I fell in love with your image shining in my heart and it is the most beautiful. I came across your video while walking in the early morning in the winter wind. Thank you for giving my heart a break and making me happy. Your video watching under the night sky at dawn when the cold winter wind blows is so beautiful and enchanting. It is your video that I want to watch over and over again, even if I watch it over and over again. By chance at the winter window, as the algorithm introduced me, when I opened my RU-vid window, the first video I saw was your video. Why did you have such a wonderful talent that is full of strange charms unique to your video? I was amazed at the excellence of your skills and was moved by your sincerity and hard work while watching the video. Your video lights up the lamp in my heart. Your image is like a rose-colored mist that blooms neatly. When I sit alone by the window and watch your video, it reminds me of my old memories that are slowly blooming. In the wide and wide world of RU-vid, a single video of you conveys a little love in my heart.
GREAT job on this underrated tune! Paul is inspiring. I want to play drums like THAT. Or just play in a band with a drummer of that caliber. Sorry for the lost of your comrade.
I’m glad you enjoyed it, a moment captured when we were on a good run of gigs I only wish we’d have taped all the gigs there’s so much stuff we played but never captured 🎸
Now then Scotty, it's Frankie, takes me back this! Miss ya man, get in touch, this channel is the first time anyone's had a way to track ya down in years
