I saw these play at Cannock and they literally blew me away. I would happily pay £25 (and a lot more) to see these play any theatre that recreated the Touring Principle and/or the Teletour shows. I was too young to see Gary play these gigs back in the day, and this would be a dream come true for me to see either of these shows recreated. But, if anyone can pull this off, I have no question that Tubeway Days can do it justice and give a lot of the older fans an opportunity of seeing what they missed out on. Fingers crossed!!
Repost (yt screwing about). I would rather go to this fellas tribute gigs than the greta numan of today. The early years are unbeatable. 78 to 81 was genuis.
Been a Numan Nut I remember been quite excited at the time hearing (Tonight Matthew Im Gary Numan ) . What a Fantastic Job Chris Did and still does .Awesome Mate .
Tubeway Days in Scotland please! I was too young for 79/80 gigs but got to see Numan first time with Berserker tour in Edinburgh. I absolutely agree chaps, the 79-81 era is ingrained in my brain. I'd love to see you perform and give me the chance to experience the gigs I missed back in the day> I'd pay to see you at Hammersmith - go for it!
@@thegarrgoyle9286 superrrrrrr superBob, superrrrr super Bob, suuuuuuperrrrr super Bob, superrrr Bobbbb Garrrrrr (it’s a soccer chant but I can’t recall the tune it’s sung to!)….. great to see you! Keep well sir, hope to join you in the Numan Arms sometime soon (my fault I’ve been absent, always seem to be out somewhere). Cheers Bob! Si. 😎👍😀
Manchester was an awesome gig Chris 👏, your sound ,image and effort is astonishing ,we're looking forward to Camden and Stockport. Bring on Hammersmith odeon now that is a dream come true ,so many would pay for that show .Tim bell Tina Chatterley x
Great interview, super interesting. I've been a Gary Numan fan since 1979, and I saw Numan when he toured Brisbane, Australia may 1980. It was nearly 30 years later I saw him again. I missed out on those iconic tours you mentioned. I would love to see Tubeway Days cover "my dying machine " and "blue eyes" and my ultimate favourite, engineers. I would love to see Tubeway days live. I never believed I'd ever say that, because I believed no one but Gary could do Gary Numan. how wrong I was! By the way , "gentleman take Polaroids" awesome song, never got to see Japan live either.
... Gary's energy & focus is with his current music, That's fine but it's a shame he doesn't give some of his influential older songs the attention that they deserve when playing them live
Love this. Love the band. The footage on RU-vid is astounding---very close to the original sound, musically and vocally---so authentic. Can't wait to hear "Love is Like Clock Law"! Steve says he loves "I Wonder" from Machine and Soul. My personal favourite is "Love Isolation". It is sooo underrated. Could you guys get a female backing vocalist onboard at some point and recreate some of those much maligned "middle years" classics ...?
Thousand of Gary Numan fans are now older and richer with money to burn :) And I would gladly pay 100 quid to relive 70-80 shows. Tubeway days are that good they might even be better LOL.
