I was in Budapest recently during the celebrations mentioned and it is a lovely clean tidy city with polite well-behaved people - very safe and affordable. The only problem is that so many young people smoke, but apparently there used to be more, they are working on this. This guy is a very credible leader compared to just about any western leader right now....

No critical questions about Victor Orban being biggest ally in the western world of China at all. Orban took billions from China and even allowed Chinese schools in Hungary. I actually was in Budapest when the Pope was there. The pope always was on Ukraine's side too. So that was a question he could've asked too. He wouldn't of course, it doesn't help the GOP. He could've asked about China though.
Do you ALSO wish all the best to Putin, medvedev, shoigu, and other international war criminals too ? (there's an international warrant for pUTINS arrest). I'm glad that you have so many warm wishes to putin and dictator orban (yes, yes, dictator, Orban, Hungary is NOT a democracy anymore) but what about poor ukrainian children dying under russian bombs ??? Don't they deserve better ??? Or it's more convenient for you and ORBAN NOT TO TALK ABOUT THE DYING UKRAINIAN CHILDREN, and instead wish "all the best to putin" ????
As as foreigner who lives in Hungary for almost 2 years now, I'm so happy that Orbán is the leader in these turbulent times. If you listened to his speech at the Tranzit festival just 1 week ago, from how he spoke you would agree that he really does care about his country, he is not pretending like so many politicians. He does not seed hate speeches. He loves the Hungarian culture, language (but also respect others) and thinks ahead. I don't agree with him on 100% of the points but he is probably the best PM Hungary had in years.

First from 1998-2002 when he sold everything that could be made in money, and then between 2010 and now, he did destroy the economy, the education, the healthcare, the traveling (includes all transports), lied about pretty much everything, he is a proper snake who rim**bs Putin and Trump at the same time. Thats what making him and his friends rich. That is the only thing he sees, he hates everyone and everything around him, mostly the hungarian people. ok so what I'm seeing on both this version of the interview and the one posted by Orban is that there are a LOT of "users" commenting who are 1: just really really REALLY loving whatever Orban has to say and 2: a vast majority of them are named like this user. name_name_randomnumber. like, yes, the interview itself is already ridiculous and pathetic, but unleashing paid commenters in droves just to push the "everybody loves this stance" narrative is truly commie stuff

@@cango5679 I actually agree with tomaspotato. I hate to hear it when newcomers to Hungary, especially digital nomads, start criticising the country that welcomed them with open arms. And I can assure you that Hungarians are much more respectful to foreigners that some Western European nations!
People in Europe always vote for an Orban-like-leader if the option is there. It's sad when the option is not there coming voting time. It's even sadder that the option appears to be there, but it's just talk. Like in the case of Italy. The last several elections, the WEF has their own man running with all the talking points that people want. But it's all fake. Agree - she is a major disappointment for true conservatives, eventually turned to be a bigger globalist than any Italian leader in recent history, and I am not judging those pro-EU before EU turned into bureaucratic dictatorship.
Another EXCELLENT interview. This leader can speak clearly about issues, even speaking a second language. Biden can't even have a coherent conversation using the only language he knows.

In case you missed it: ORBAN did this: 1. destroyed independent journalism 2. destroyed indepenedent court system 3. destroyed oppositional parties by instituting draconian laws 4. almost got hungary kicked out of EU for being non-democratic state. But hey, great bullshit interview, right in line with Putins interview.

@@yikwanwong8267 Are you talking Nancy Pelosi or Joe Biden, 100s of millions between them (a fact, not an unevidenced accusation)? Seriously, Orban is neither very rich nor unusually corrupt. Agree or disagree with his policies, many do vehemently disagree although not so much in Hungary, but he remains one of the most successful democratically elected European politician in the C21st.

It is like saying that Hitler was ok, because Stalin murdered more people. Orban is probably the most corrupt politician in the EU.
