A few days ago, I attended my mother-in-law funeral. She has 9 children with their own set of children and grandchildren, and a few great-grandchildren. We celebrated her life, shared stories of moments with her, met the new babies and congratulated the ones that are coming in the near future. No money in the world, no fame or world recognition will ever be enough to replace the power of a family. Families are forever.

it's amazing how my grandparents were brought up in families with over 8 kids each. during the great depression. and yet managed to feed them and my great grandfather's were the soul support for their family. since then I've seen my mother in my teens get a job and now you barely make due with two incomes. and who can we thank for that? What amount of effort did it take your entire family to raise that baby to be a productive citizen? I'm only asking to be sure all sides of a topic are discussed. Sounds to me like it was a good decision for your grand daughter, was it the best decision for your daughter though? This topic is pretty basic. As far as I'm concerned. It should ALWAYS be the decision of the person that is pregnant. The options should be there for anyone to choose in any state. Pushing the federal law down to the state level doesn't change my stance. I'm a Canadian by the way. Seeing as how we don't have this issue really here it always strikes me weird that the US has such strange tendencies that blur the religious and government when it comes to topics such as this...

I've always said motherhood, raising children, keeping the household in order, multitasking at every turn is a career in itself. I was a stay at home hard working mom, loved that job and it's rewards. You raise your kids to become responsible self thinking individual with good faith and values. The Fathers ALL worked hard and our Moms were around to tend to our bruises, black eyes and stiches. We played with ACTION figures like G.I Joe and Hot Wheels and swam in the local water Holes. Flying cars were Jetson cartoons and Fred Flintson was the MAN. Wiiiilllllmmmmmaaaa! Our Grandparents were our refuge and our siblings were our Elder Guardians against any threat. And Jesus was LORD and Sundays was time for Rest,Reflection and Reminders of who we were and appreciation for EVERY LAST PART OF IT.
