This is one of the most "close to home" monologues that Tucker has ever done, I'm a black 35yo guy , and i moved from the big city of Phx to a small small Trump country town 60 miles outside, Half the rent, half the people, and crazy scenic views. Last I heard which was some years ago it is my understanding that it takes an upwards of well over half a billion dollars to get a drug to market. Along the lines of, Big oil and the internal combustion engine. It's interesting how a fellow who claims to have gone 560 miles on gallon of water, refuse to sell or divulge his information, mysteriously disappeared days before he was to have a press conference in a release and try and go to market with something. Way too much money to be made by Big oil and their friends with deep pockets hey if people could drive almost forever on water where's the fun in that earning billions upon billions to sell replacement parts that with new technologies and CAD computer design they purposely make stuff impossible to get to so you're compelled to take it to a dealer and pay through the nose because instead of using a wrench and screwdriver you need super specialized tools now that never existed only to benefit those who are in the loop.

I walked away from a good job but in a soul less city 40 years ago as a young man. Found a small town in the mountains and never looked back. Where I live everyone says hi, stops to talk on the street or waves and people really care about each other. People walk, jog and ride bikes. I am blessed to live here.

I'm 60 years old and grew up in a small southern town in a true neighborhood in the 1960's.. We knew almost everyone that lived around us. All the children played together outside. You could smell dinner being cooked in the evening. All parents were to be obeyed because any one could correct us even if they weren't necessarily ours. But living close to people can get tiresome and when I was 12 my father, a country boy raised, moved us out of town to the country onto 10 acres. I LOVE it here. I have woods, I have a live creek that feeds a small pond. I have dogs and cats and deer and possums & raccoons and all manner of wildlife. I have my own wildlife preserve. My property is backed up by a large tract of National Forest. I have neighbors on either side of me that have been there 40+ years and better neighbors you could not ask for. I found out how valuable those were refereeing neighbor disputes as a Deputy Sheriff for 20 years. Good neighbors are gold. But rural living is peaceful living, closest to God. You see and feel his creations. Nothing could induce me to live in a city again.

I'm not sure that's the point of what Tucker is saying here. I think he simply referenced illegal immigrants solely for context. What he is genuinely saying is that America doesn't actually exist anymore, not because of immigration, but because of indifference; American cultural values simply are not inherent for immigrants. People flock to this country for a "better life" that for them is based on a very superficial perception of what this country is, and reinterpret constitutional and historical dynamics to fit _their_ narrative and American "ideal"; so they don't really care about the sort of cultural aesthetics Tucker mentions. They want "money" or a car or a job that pays more money than they've ever seen, or a flat screen TV, things Americans don't value as much as we value the social, natural and cultural infrastructure and integrity of this country, which has become over-saturated with generic redundancy, i.e. mediocrity at almost every level- why he mentioned "dollar stores" everywhere and overseas warehouses full of foreign made merchandise. For the immigrant coming here is a benefit, but for the American it is an extreme deficit.

Growing up as an Italian American I have been aware of everything Tucker has said my entire life. He is right, and older cultures that are in tune with their history understand this because they have already been through it. All the wisdom and knowledge he is talking about which is 100% truth already exists in most people heritages which they have forgotten or suppressed for the "shiny new America". Because new is always better apparently. I have always seen this country as a teenager compared to what Europe is. Instead of learning from thousands of years of history America has decided to make the same mistakes every other nation has made. Sad, and this is the definition of the lack of Wisdom. Our American forefathers understood these lessons but modern America has lost touch with its history and the history of its founders.

I'm a white boy from a predominantly white small town in Ohio. I heard a few racist jokes among my family, but I can't say anyone in it really dealt in true hatred. My first job was in a store working among all races. I learned that I could respect anyone, regardless of color or creed, at a base amount as a human being. After that, it was up to them to show what type of character they had. Some I trusted, some I didn't, and color or creed didn't matter one bit. It was all their character. The thing I find so frustrating about the race problem in this country is the way that minorities are being used by politicians. They are told they CAN'T lift themselves up, and that they need the politicians to help them, so keep voting for them! It's B-S. ANY person in this country has a chance to make a solid, and maybe even comfortable life for themselves, but they need to find their talent and make it work for them. Then need to find their drive. Color, race, whatever doesn't matter. The only thing holding any person back in life is their own belief that they aren't good enough, and their work ethic. Show me a person who believes in themself, knows what they want to do, and are willing to do it, and I'll show you a person who will be living a life they themselves determine, not some polichicken or pundit. The fact that one political party has been enslaving these people for decades sickens me.

That kills me and some believe it. There are a large amount of New Yorkers moving to the metropolitan Atlanta area. I’ve lived here my entire adult life. A good friend of mine is from New York and once his family realized the difference in cost of living his whole family moved here in less that a year. I assume that story is being repeated over and over and over.

By this I mean during the 18th Century the migrants who settled in the USA from Europe were NEEDED. We NEEDED the European craftsmen and tradesmen. In 2022 the USA already has a surplus of native workers. We need more immigrants here like we need another world war. I understand there is a benevolent aspect to allowing needy people in - my point is however this is NOT "needed" by the USA. The continued immigration into the USA (legal or not) is a benefit only to the migrants themselves.

You were absolutely correct when recently lamenting that our country has become overcrowded and ugly. The formerly ubiquitous green spaces between population centers comprised of farms, meadows, and woodlands have largely disappeared. In their place is commercial and residential sprawl that creeps and engulfs landscapes like the relentless red weed from War of the Worlds. In the blink of an eye that once pretty dairy farm and fresh vegetable stand that we used to take for granted on weekend outings have become a huge car dealership and several hundred very similar looking vinyl clad homes. Worse yet, the hopes and aspirations of those Americans who in decades past thought that they were doing the right thing by limiting the size of their families, have been permanently squashed by crude power hungry politicians working for open borders and granting illegal immigrants the right to vote in elections.

I've been making precisely the same points for years, among them that "America is too big for its britches" and predicting what I called "the Balkanization of America"...back when Bill Clinton and NATO delivered "democracy" to "the former Yugoslavia". I'm 71 now and I remember growing up in a society where people were mostly polite and honest. We never locked the doors at night, and this was in a city . Tucker stirred memories of those times when he spoke of needing open spaces, bringing to mind the sand hills we played in when I was growing up, where in the weekend, there was no one else around except us, and how we never worried about threats or strangers. Now here we are in 2022. I don't know if we'll ever be able to go back now to a society like that. The cat's out of the bag.

I grew up in a small town of 2,000 people. Neighbors cared about each other and it was genuine. People bartered when needed. It was a farming community and people still smiled and greeted each other. 12 years ago I left S.F. after being robbed for the third time by a certain element. The ranch is 30 miles from the nearest town in a very rural ranching county with a population density of about one person per square mile. Unlike the city where most people don't even know who lives next door, there's a sense of community with good neighbors, peace and quiet, clean living and a defensible space. Life is good.
