The Tudor Black Bay Chrono is currently my favorite chronograph! It features a screw-down crown and screw-down pushers, so I can swim with it. It has a black aluminum bezel that should develop a pleasing patina. It's not loud or "blingy!" The matte black dial with use of red is phenomenal! The date window at the 6 o'clock position WITH NO CYCLOPS is a welcomed addition! The case proportions are excellent for my 7.5" wrist and it's must less common in the wild currently than an Omega Speedmaster or Rolex Daytona! #Tudor #ReversePanda

I almost pulled the trigger on this as I prefer the bi-compact over tri-compact chronographs, but was slightly too big lug2lug for my 7" wrist.

I have a 7.5 inch wrist. The original Black Bay was too case tall for me. The Black Bay 58 fits me well and Tudor Chrono does too. Even though it’s thick, the pushers seems to balance everything out. A 58-sized GMT and Chrono would be awesome!!!

Great review. My Husband and i are looking at this watch for his 60th birthday. How do you find winding the crown? Some on forum sites have mentioned it is stiff and gritty. Hopefully get to have a look at the BB Chrono in Singapore in a few days time.

Thank you and it’s a great watch. Since it’s a Breitling movement, the winding is smooth but feels different than Rolex. There is nothing “stiff” or “gritty” about it though. It sounds like the forum poster must have gone for a swim in the ocean but forgot to screw down the crown :) Subscribe and check out my Timepieces for Tomorrow video playlist. I have several other videos of this watch. My only advice is #1 Buy on bracelet #2 Try on this and the “panda” (primary white dial) version. You’ll likely like this configuration the best because the black primary dial visually wears smaller

Just ordered mine after it appeared at London store after like 8 months of wait ... thinking of switching the steel bracelet with a black rubber strap.. think it would look dope ! thoughts ?

It would look great on a rubber strap but always buy on the bracelet! It’s an excellent timepiece and I may pick up a tubber strap for mine too to mix things up a little! #Tudor

Really like the watch, except for the slight-too-small (IMO) subdials, and the gap between the chapter ring and rehaut. It looks far worse on the other (panda) version. Might still pull the trigger tho . . .

It’s worth it. Once on the wrist, it’s pretty much perfect. The specs on paper almost scared me away initially though.

Hey man, I hope all is well! One question, hace you service your Rolex submariner already? I know you have the sub since so many years ago, and I am just wondering since I have mine since 2013 and I have not take it to service yet. It is been working well but I just do not know if I should take it or not.

I haven't serviced my Submariner either and bought it around the same time. It still keeps excellent time! There are several schools of thought. Some people believe that the service is worth it alone for water resistance. I have an Omega SeaMaster 300m blue wave dial also. I've never serviced it and it has never leaked. It still keeps great time and I've been wearing it for over 20 years. I'm not sure if it's the best thing to do but I'm not going to service my Submariner unless I have to. Let me know what you decide to do and have a great weekend! #Rolex

Hi - nice video. Have you experienced any power reserve issues with this watch? i.e. not getting near to the 70 hrs power reserve as advertised?

I have the white panda dial. First of all It is an extremely accurate timepiece. After I wound it the 3rd time after it stopped because I didn’t wear it for a few days it seems to have lasted somewhere around that 70 hour reserve.

I think the reverse panda is nicer… but in the wider market the standard panda seems to be more popular

I would agree but reverse panda wins for #1 Dial legibility #2 Visually wears smaller than the white-dialed panda

The "panda" white dial is more popular for now, but I think long term it's better to own the reverse panda. I was talking to the dealer in the Bellagio and they only get one reverse panda a month, but they get 3-4 standard white dials. All else being equal I'd rather own the more rare version.

I have the same and have to say honestly ..... this Tudor get mote wrist time than my Rolex. It is better (200m iso 100M), it is bigger and has a date.

Same here. The proportions are perfect, it’s just as comfortable as a Rolex and it’s less common to see in the wild. Did you consider the Tudor Chrono panda dial? I know that it’s more popular than this reverse panda on paper but i do believe that the hands blend with the dial on the panda, plus the white dial makes it appear to be larger too. The reverse panda is the perfect chrono in my opinion! #Tudor

@@IrixGuy , decently not ! The white dail is less readable and it reminds people of a Paul Newman Daytona . I don’t want a wannebee Daytona , I want a nice readable chrono 😉

I respectfully disagree. I found the Pelagos and Black Bay to be too tall. The Black Bay Chrono and Black Bay Fighty-Eight both fit well and feel great! i want a Tudor Pepsi but am going to hold out for the Black Bay 58 GMT. Those case proportions are perfect! Cheers!
