Tudor Pelagos 39mm Hands-On Review

This amazing Pelagos has replaced all my Rolex as a daily wear. The esthetic is absolutely beautiful and the bezel gorgeous.

Great video. I was wearing my Oris Big Crown today for work . But just got in a couple of new G-Shocks the last couple of days so I am now sporting the DW6900. Fantastic.

Nice review Harrison, I am currently wearing the Pelagos 39, swapped a Seamaster 300M for it and have no regrets at all, it’s light weight, sits beautifully and doesn’t fall off the wrist like a heavy steel watch! A good time keeper, great looking bracelet, the dial and bezel look different in changing light that keep your interest., fab lume both on the dial and bezel, (why don’t other manufacturers lume the bezel, come on Rolex!) What would I change 🤔, I would love a date maybe with an inverted cyclops lens like the Panerai subs, the size is good, small enough to wear under a shirt cuff but big enough to turn heads. Whilst you say dive watches should be larger this is more of an all round sports/casual watch that can be worn at all times, swimming, racket sports, running or just in any casual situation. I have tried the Pelagos dive watches but they are too chunky, this is the perfect all rounder!

Excellent review . The 39 is a pretty good size for me, it would sit well on my wrist. I can also wear a 40mm or 41mm, but I am trending down in watch sizes. The PRX would be a great fit.

As a general rule Titanium isn't harder or more durable than stainless steel. It's more difficult to work with because it doesn't like being machined, it has a sticky elastic quality that makes clearing chips very difficult, it also doesn't dissipate heat very well and is more prone to warpage

I still prefer the subtle differences of the BB 58 over the Pelagos, but I'm still amazed over all the specs that the watch have. Maybe my mind will change once they release it in other colors. Wearing my old Casio.

Another great video. I, like many others, also miss a date, but most Tudor dive watches don't have one so I can live without it. I was originally looking at the "No Time to Die" Omega Seamaster 300m 007 Edition. At half the cost this may be the one to get!

Have owned this watch not for a few months. Absolutely stunning watch, in love with wearing it as my daily. The only issue I’ve had is I haven’t been able to get a perfect fit, I’m kind of in between links even with the T fit clasp. Wish there were more adjustments within it. But overall it’s probably my favourite watch I’ve ever had!

I had 3 Tudors (BB58, Pro, Ranger) and couldn't get on with the Pelagos 39 when I tried it on at the AD. I went back and forth over 5 months, trying it on every time I visited a store with it in stock. I finally pulled the trigger a week ago and it has been on wrist non stop. Just buy it. Any niggles I had about the weight, look etc. melt away after wearing it for 1-2 days. It will become the defacto modern Submariner within 10 years, a classic. Definitely a keeper.

Interesting review of the watch. I have the same size wrist measurement as your wrist so probably will look somewhere else. I am wearing a Casio AQ-800E-7 today.

It’s a beauty! Wrist check: Tudor Black Bay (in house version) I just got it and I tried the BB58 with a 7 1/2 inch wrist and it felt too small. As much as I love wearing it, it also gave me more appreciation for my Omega. Thanks for the video, I agree divers should be a slight bit bigger. Dress watches smaller. Imo

Love the dimensions of the pelagos 39 but I prefer a matte bezel. I was so excited to pick one up when it came out but didn’t love it on wrist. Ended up picking up a BB 58. Wearing my PRX powermatic today.

I really want a Pelagos. The thing that drives me crazy is the amount of text on it though. Today on the wrist is Sinn 104. My daily right now.

The bezel diameter is just under 40mm (I think 39.8mm so to all intents and purposes it is a 40mm.) I've been wearing mine since I got it (about 2 months ago) and my Tudor GMT, Wimbledon and Finissimo are gathering dust

Been eyeing the pelagos 39. A colleague at work purchased it and I tried it on...the clasp does feel really long and throws off the wearing experience. Still on the fence since its perfect otherwise. Watching with my gshock 5610

One of the standout features of the original Pelagos is the three dimensional dial. Without those cut-out for the indices this 39mm seems flat and ordinary, bordering on boring. (today I am wearing the Tudor BB41)
