Never will Tudor take over Omega, it’s a sub beta brand to the top Alpha Rolex. I just spent ~$5k on the Seamaster 300 Co-Axial 41mm to be my strap monster, I rather buy a $2k - 3k fountain pen than a Tudor, Omega is it’s own world apart on a league of it’s own. I just finished my Rolex collection of all the 3 pieces I’ve ever wanted, also I’m finished with my 3 Omegas and boy I never new what I’ve been missing with this brand and it’s a treat!
Tudor will, in my opinion, never ever overtake Omega. I am not an Omega 'fan boy', I don't buy modern Omega (although I do buy midcentury Omega Speedmasters watches); but in my view, they are completely different markets and price points. Tudor is Rolex's 'under brand'; they sell to people who want the 'Rolex look' but cannot afford a Rolex. No shame there, Rolex watches are expensive. In many ways, they are just totally different markets. Omega watches are vastly superior to Tudor watches. Tudor watches are fairly basic watches. They talk about 'in house' movements but what does that actually mean? There are many ETA movements that are better than many 'in house' movements. Tudor watches are no better than many watches priced much lower. They are just basic watches beyond the David Beckham hype. If you like them then buy them, but don't buy at retail unless you like losing money. If you buy a Tudor, buy used ('pre loved') with box/papers at a far lower price. Who buys Tudor at retail? Do they have some mental disorder where the patient loves losing money? After 35 years collecting watches, from antique pocket watches going back hundreds of years, to vintage watches and also modern, one thing I hate is losing money. We work hard for our money; why would we want to lose it?
Tudor is logines level... Only RU-vidr so called reviewers under pr payroll are trying to push it beyond what it is and create hype around it. They give tje the false impression that Tudor is overtaking higher brand Omega. They seem to gloss over the factual data. Morgan Stanley 2022 data shows longines at #8 right behind AP in top 10 swiss watch sales by value. With a market share of 5.6% globally. Tudor has less than 2% market share. But the impression coming of these biased probably paid RU-vidrs seems the total opposite. 🎉
Tudor is longines level watch brand. And contrary to RU-vidr hypers pr machinery payroll guys... Longines is running circles around Tudor 3:1. Longines is number 8 with 5.6% market share globally right behind AP. Tudor is less than or equal to 2% only. But these guys are trying to give the impression that Tudor is up there with the top 10😅. You know who they are...the same rolex cheering squad. Rolex can take a dump on their plates and they'd call it a steak. (Rolex being sister company with Tudor and Tudor using Rolex 16610 chassis 🙄) These figures can be seen in Morgan Stanley 2022 watch stats...but of course none of those so called watch experts on RU-vid will ever want you guys to know that! 🎉
