I would of been annoyed too, the person wasn't polite when replying. It's not always what people say but the way they say it to you that can annoy me. Everything at the moment just feels so depressing, fingers crossed next year brings us some glimmer of hope.🙏

I Googled the law about accepting coins, turns out the guy didn't have to accept them. I still think he was a jerk though. It's not as if I had a pocket full of 2ps. They were 2 bags of 5p pieces worth £5 each, all counted and bagged up.

Keep smiling Lyca. Same everywhere at times. Always some miserable lot try to ruin your day. Tried to buy a house myself with a wheelbarrow of pennies at my local bank as down payment some years ago. Said you can't pay like that. Go home and clean the wheelbarrow first. Tough times at the moment.

What sort of a world are we living in when we can’t even be warm and fed properly, it’s ridiculous, we are the same as many- only putting the heating on for a minimal amount of time, I have recently bought an electric over-blanket (from Argos) we had saved nectar points that we’ve been collecting for years n years so used those to buy it, took a chance cos I didn’t know if it would be any good but the reviews are great - only had it three days but so far it’s been really good…trouble is you’re only warm when you’re sat with it on, as soon as you move you freeze again so now I’m scared of bloody moving 🤣 That guy was so rude, no need to be that severe, he doesn’t deserve any customers at all, needs an attitude transplant 🙄 I guess he must be feeling the pressure as well though - but - still 😮jeez. Nope, we can’t afford much this Christmas either, just gonna do our best to enjoy some family time, not even interested in buying a turkey 🦃 etc etc, probably a good job cos even they sound as if they’re gonna be in short supply or just too expensive. Hope you “get a break” soon - boy oh boy you deserve it xx
