Try doing a challenge where each set of kids go shopping to pick up their items, design their own recipe, and cook and plate all food being judged for taste, originality and presentation. Your kids could take a dish that was already created and is a favorite maybe and turn it into an incredibly healthy dish. That’s the point is to get your kids to be involved with cooking some healthy food, and knowing that food comes from the Earth and is processed and then brought into our homes for convenience.
@@jeanne9375 thanks Jeanne! I do think she needs to change the eating habits of these kids. I’m not saying take away everything they love, but get them involved in a fun and competitive game and to end up with kitchen, recipe reading skills, grocery budgeting, maybe they could use local produce. I bet they would love it! Hope she sees this.
06/16/2024....see this for the first time....love these cooking vlogs and day in lifes the best. I vte for casseroles and one pot type meals. I am learning from these and so much appreciate your effort.(as i am sure MILLIONS of your viewers do). You are truly one special, beautiful person, Alicia!
I grew up in the Saratoga/Albany area and my mother served salad with nearly every dinner (always with red sauce or pasta). My grandmother (maternal) served salad with every dinner. I get strange looks, especially from my in-laws, when I serve it with a meal now and find only I and my father will eat it. For point of reference I’m a few years younger than you Alicia.
Definitely need to look into my crockpot recipe notecards that I got from my mom before she pasted. See what I can whip up for dinner one this week or next week. Hope you have and you family have a good day/evening.
I just love your channel! I can relate to the whole family. My mom had 10 children! I wouldn’t change it for the world! I think you should do a meal each night from the youngest to the oldest - what their favorite meal is. Also, I would love to see casserole dish’s! You bring so much joy to all of us! God bless!🙏🙏🌻
Absolutely love your family and always watch. I used to do my meatballs like that now i bake them what a difference. Also wanted to ask you what is the name of the coffee creamer you use. Thank you. Ps..that looks delicious i definitely gonna make
Yes! I just thought yesterday about around the world! U should def do that again! Or even a meal based off a food from the 50 states... like Idaho is big for potatoes, so have potatoes be the star of the meal, Wisconsin has cheese, Maine lobster... and so on. Just an idea 😊
Recipes I make a lot I’ve started weighing out what the measurement comes to and then it’s faster forever more. So if weigh out 6 teaspoons of salt and then just need to pour it all out in one go next time.
I've always wanted a huge family like this. Health issues stopped us at 1. I can't physically handle more than one with my conditions so adopting wasn't in the cards either. My son is 18 now! I've been able to use all my extra energy on him and he's always been an amazingly easy human at every level of development. God gave me what I could handle! I did used to cook like this as a kid. I was one of 5 kids plus 2 parents. They worked a lot and I i took over the running of a houshold. Cooking was by far my favorite task!
U put your leftover lettuce on your bread shelf Hun am remembering u in case u forget it there and yummy soup I had salad every lunch and dinner to Hun 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I vote casseroles plus I really like around the world as well. I love how you are always making great new meals for your family.❤. Really enjoying this series.
Alisha, you should check out the Meatball Stew recipe from Giada De Laurentiis .. it is a little bit more involved than the recipe you just made but it is so delicious 😋 I've made it many times and my family can't get enough of it. I double and triple the recipe, too .. we have big eaters here and we also love having leftovers.
The more you handle that meat, the chewier it becomes and the harder to form without it gooing up your hands. I feel it would be easier to mix everything together INSIDE the slow cooker BEFORE you add the meatballs.
@@lindadurost5108 If I should keep my comment to myself then so can you! Alicia may not of asked for my input... but I did not ask for yours! Smarter NOT harder!
Do casseroles! 1 lb ground beef (seasoned for tacos) 1 can of ranch style beans 1 cup of grated cheese (your choice - whatever you like on tacos) Dump it in your baking dish. Mix up 1 box of jiffy cornbread and spread it on top. Bake according to the directions for the jiffy. We do it in a cast iron skillet - start to finish just in the skillet! Of course there are only 3 of us. You would probably have to make a 10X batch!
We always had salad for dinner, but if we didn’t, we just had a tomato, avocado and pickles plate. We still have salad with our dinners. Soup and salad and bread= best combination 😀👍🏻😋
Yall forreal don’t listen when she’s explaining what she’s doing. And why are y’all so adamant about the kids helping in the kitchen, if she wants them to help she’ll ask them or they’ll show up in the kitchen and ask if they can help. She’s caring for her family the way she wants to
My kids spray everything with Pam i guess its a thing.. Meat I thought made its grease.. never made this before interested to see how comes out... need to find some new recipes try new stuff
I enjoyed the meatball soup, but the ending did it for me😂😂, we just all sit on the floor with the dogs now😂😂 so been there. It is beautiful. Thank you, and yes, please, for casseroles, I love a good casserole 💡 ❤❤
This looks great! Make little meatballs for in the soup that's more tastier especially when you add ketjap manis in it ;) you can keep it in the freezer till you use it for at least 3-6 months! What about a salad-serie?
i would love to see the final outcome after you serve each of them their plate! and see how much leftovers you have left!❤can you also do a what you eat in a day? or like your entire day in your life?
The majority of the time her door is open she just likes to lay in there because it’s in front of the heater vent. The dogs go in their kennels when we eat dinner and they are eating their dinner. I know a lot of people say to feed your dogs after you eat but it’s what works for us.
This is funny, i was just opening youtube to look for a recipe i saw on another channel because i want to make this tomorrow. Can you share a written recipe?
No..the extra two she had kinship placement of. One went back to live with her family and the brother decided to stay with them so she now has permanent custody of.
