Tug's Micro Draco Maiden Flight

This is my maiden flight of the Micro Draco 800mm. I was not impressed with the 3S 300mah 30C performance. It seemed to lack the power it needed to do anything other than fly very scale. I will order the 4s battery's for it as soon as they are in stock.

Tugg. Mine was great right out the box. I maiden with the 4s 300mah batteries that I had found at my local hobby shop. I placed it all the way forward in the battery bay. 3.7 volts per cell at 5 minutes with mix flying. She will definately benefit with a larger mah battery. I flew it till the sun went down. Love all the lights. She really looked good. This one is a keeper. 👍👍😎

I plan to get the Big Brother out Tomorrow morning before sun break so the Lights show up on camera. Just depends on the winds at daybreak which should be low. Thanks for watching.

A successful maiden flight, Tug! She went up, around and back down without incident. Good flight, Sir! And don't fret about the hat cam angle... I get mine wrong more than half the time.

It is a great micro plane that fly's like a big plane. I will re-work the mount on the helmet ⛑️ camera. My friend John lost the washer that helps change the angle.I need more up adjustment anyway.Thanks for watching and your support.

I have flown it 5 flights now and will say it is better in the air than the UMX Air Tractor in wind. That being said I am sure you would love one if you buy one. Thanks for watching.

Talk about a perfect spot to fly! Impressive! Love my little Draco. BTW - TugHill, NY? If so, you are close... I run a 525mAh 4s in this bird. Super flights!

Yep we are close. My spouse went to SUNY Oswego for 8 years. Lewis county is a great place to live. I agree the Micro Draco is a little beast on the 4s 450mah 50c packs. I now have 35 flights on mine. I do not video all my flights because I fly for enjoyment and PTSD therapy. I am a combat veteran that served 23 years 5 years in combat zones.

You would had done better John. That goofy Helmet cam needs a overhaul again on my mount. Wished I had a GB to help sometimes. Thanks for watching.

@@tughillrc6327 A cameraman helps! I have had great luck with a gopro, and set it to linear (zoomed) on the camera, then use the app to make sure its pointed at the model before recording. Best of luck!

Update Horizon Hobby has a 4S 300mah 30c and a 4S 450mah 50C battery both with JST connectors I got the 4S 450mah 50C battery's on order I hope the weight of the battery's are not to much for the Micro Draco to handle.

It was very fun to fly even on 3s. Very much like the UMX Air Tractor or the UMX Turbo Timber. Very slow on 3S with out flaps I did a 2nd flight after this one with flaps it almost stands still. Hope you enjoy yours when you get it. Thanks for watching

Yes, the first flight I was not use to the lightness of the tail wheel and did not hold up elevator to keep it planted. The 2nd and third flights went much better on keeping the taxi's strait as well as cross wind take offs. Thanks for watching Victor&Airboss
