I love the way you explained the filling in of the canes.. For some reason I never think to cut out excess I just leave and it always messes up my canes when I reduce it... Grrr. Well not anymore. Great videos. I have watched n made most... Thanks so much!!!
Very cute tulips. I will want to try these. I appreciate your style of voice over so the videos and instructionskeep a good pace. Your explanation of details are concise and easy to understand. Thank you!
You’re amazing. I love the weights and measurements. The only thing that is hard ti deal with is the repetitive background music lol. So happy I have found you.
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial. Can you recommend any books that also show, step by step, how to make other flower shapes, faces, animals, etc.?
You’re very welcome Jackie! Unfortunately I do not know of any books, but goodluck with your search! Maybe in the future, I can produce a book on caning 😛
So happy to hear that Evelyn! :-) yes!! The link for the template should hopefully be in the description, it’ll take you to a website where you would choose which template and then you can download to PDF. If not, I’ll need to take a look on my laptop later today!
Hi again! Here are the links to view & download skinner blend templates: 3 color: www.jennifoo.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/simmons-skinner-blend-guides-3-color-v1.pdf 4 color: www.jennifoo.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/simmons-skinner-blend-guides-4-color-v1.pdf Hope that helps! And please let me know if you're having any issues.
Sorry for the delay! Video took longer than expected 😅. Clay ratios and links to download the skinner blend template will be added later today! Enjoy the tutorial 😊!!
I love your videos! You make cane making so easy for me. These tulips are awesome. I can’t wait to start on them. What brand of translucent clay do you use? It looks like these canes will require a large amount, so I’d better purchase plenty. 😉 Thank you again!
Thank you so much Marsha, i'm so happy to hear you're excited to make some canes! To answer your question, I use Sculpey Premo White Translucent (alternatively you can 'Translucent' it's just a tad yellowish). I usually get mines from Michaels, if out of stock I sign up for notifications on 'Sculpey.com' until they're back in stock and I buy a TON haha. Best of luck to you!
Sorry if I offend you. I think it would be better if you didn't use translucent at the point where the other elements meet up. It looks like leaves are floating in space.
Hi Bigfoot! No worries, not offended. I'm used to receiving artistic feedback as it helps me learn how people feel. You're feedback helps me! I was going for a type of illustrative feel, but I get what you mean!
