Tully Blanchard on his WWE Experiences! 

Tully looks great. He looks healthy. His tag team wrestling skills with Arn Anderson were as good as it gets. Demolition vs The Brain Busters in the best of 3 fall matches looked as real as it could be. Blanchard made wrestling look real. That is the best compliment.

Such an unappreciated talent. Loved his feuds with Dusty Rhodes, Ron Garvin and Magnum TA and Nikita Koloff. Wonderful and fantastic worker that I love watching to this day.

Beat thing I can say about Tully: I hated him more than any other Horseman. He always seemed like that weasel, chick$hit heel and you just despised him. So, the man clearly did it right. Much respect.

Vince should've gave Telly Blanchard another chance and let him stay the brainbusters was the best tag team in the WWF at that time 👊

Hannibal was right. Saturday Night's Main Event pre-empted Saturday Night Live in the Pacific Time Zone at least, if not everywhere.

I grew up watching him in the mid 80s in the NWA. A heck of a worker and a heel's heel. There was no middle ground with him. You simply HATED him. He was not only a great in ring worker but a master at generating heat. Just reading the couple comments here remind me of that. He really should be hired to lend his expertise in WWE.

I know in the east coast back then SNME was on in place of SNL like once a month or so . It would always say that SNL will be seen next week so we can bring this presentation of the WWF , something like that .

The two guys I hated the most in pro wrestling as a little baby mark were Gino Hernandez (RIP) and Tully Blanchard. Two guys who had nuclear heat. You couldn't help but to loathe both of them. IDK if it's a cultural change or the post-kayfabe world wrestling navigates through, but you just don't have those kinds of guys anymore. I actually think that the WWE should step back and do more prerecorded stuff so that their heels can get better at getting over.

Dusty Rhodes said Tully was the reason the horsemen were the baddest guys on the planet. Brian Pillman could have been Blanchard for them but he was on a horsemen for like 6 months. They both could get a crowd HOT. REALLY wish Tully could have gotten a run in the 90's but I'm glad he is doing well. He actually follows me on Twitter!!!

The Horsemen, particularly Tully and Ric; Barry Windham (what an athlete), King Harley Race, Paul Orndorff (incredible tempo in his matches), Scott Hall, Scott Norton, Diamond Dallas Page and Sting (for his loyalty to NWA/WCW) were my favourite wrestlers.

Later on after the brainbusters run, it sounded like Tully wasn't taking any of WWE's bullshit. Here he is just saying it in the nicest, most professional way possible.

There traditionally were 5 SNME'S a year (January, March, May/April, October and November) but in 89 they had 6 (They had one in July of 89) well 7 if you include Friday Night Main Event Show in early February where The Mega Powers split up setting up their Wrestlemania V match

Saturday Night`s Main Event aired at 11:30pm Eastern. SNL is an hour and a half... So SNME wouldn`t of started till 1AM...

Anyone know what the beef with JBL, that led to his not being hired as an agent was all about? Tully can be a somewhat mysterious figure in wrestling history, in that, in a business full of shady characters, Tully was considered a Scumbag's scumbag, vmery few wrestlers liked him, but we never really get to hear any goof reason why? He was an absolute lightning rod for heat, but I can't figure out what made him so much worse than the rest of the. Regardless, Tully is the best worker I ever saw, I remember as a little kid watchingWE TV. only 2 guys came in and dropped my Jaw. they seemed to be working on a level far above the rest the talent. Imagine if he was allowed to come back when the horsemen turned face....Tully wouldve fit perfectly because they were faces....BUT Tully had that sneaky devilish demeaner that would keep fans on their heels wondering at what point they're going to flip the script and go back to being heels
