Taylor Sheridan’s long-awaited Sylvester Stallone mob series, Tulsa King, has made its debut on Paramount +. Executive produced by Terence Winter of The Sopranos and Boardwalk Empire, Tulsa King is a seriocomic gangster tale about a newly released cap, Dwight “The General” Manfredi, who’s exiled by the mob to Tulsa, where he’s expected to start a new mob. At seventy-five, Dwight is totally out of his element, and the show is a surprisingly big-hearted and funny showcase for its star, Sylvester Stallone.
We here at JoBlo are massive Stallone fans (interviewing him last year was a career highlight for me), so we were happy to participate in the Tulsa King press day. We got to ask Sly about how different an experience working as a lead on a TV show was to a movie (with him saying he had to memorize over 400 pages of dialogue. We also spoke to his castmates, including Garrett Hedlund, Jay Will, Andrea Savage, A.C. Peterson, and Vincent Piazza. Interestingly, we were also given time with Dana Delany and Max Casella (a veteran of every significant mob show of the last twenty years). Their characters on only briefly seen in the first few episodes. Both give us a hint of what’s to come, with Delaney giving us a priceless Stallone impression.
Check out the interviews and let us know in the comments if you’ve had a chance to watch Tulsa King yet.

i've watched this series (1) three times - so I can be prepared for a season (2). Great team of actors and Sly has no back up in him when it comes to protecting his family once he understands what the family truly is!

Great show and after the end of watching the first season was completely satisfied except for the fact we’ll have to wait a long time for Season 2. IMO Stallone’s best work and the fact he’s 76 blows my mind. The supporting cast, the writing, directing, staging, customs, cinematography all so special. This work should earn many Golden Globe Awards, it’s that great.

Dana Delany is still smoking hot. She hasn't age not one bit. Max Casella, I have nothing but childhood memories of the late 80's to the mid nineties watching him on "Doogie Howser MD" and the cult classic musical "Newsies". And my mom all through out my life has told me that Sylvester Stallone is my biological father HAHA!!!

I like the show. but I got one question I mean I know it’s Paramont but what’s up with episode two with that kind of filming it’s over the place you see half a face you see no face but you hear talking one minute you see a wall or door then The camera is so close in someone’s face it’s almost as if you’re looking behind the person it’s so damn close that’s stupid it’s hard to follow The story. It really is because of the filming. I don’t know if it’s the cameraman doing it or if it’s the film editor but whoever it is think somebody needs to go home and rethink them self. I think y’all need to redue episode two🤔
