Just to hear Peter deconstruct his solo from one of the most memorable live albums in the 90s is such a treat. One of my favorite albums of Joshua’s ever. Great band.

Man, 24 with Josh Redman at the Vanguard.. we’re truly fortunate to have peter putting out content like this we can learn from. Kudos to the both of you; you’re bringing the quality of jazz and jazz inspired music up just by doing this podcast. Keep it up please!!

Wow, this was for me one of the most insightful discussions about playing jazz, in this case your own solo, that I have ever heard. I love hearing about a player's thoughts that went into playing a particular solo. The podcast is getting better and better.

One of the best albums, tunes, and solo(s) in jazz. Ever. I must have listened to those four solos in St. Thomas a million times. Peter Martin’s might be the best solo I have ever heard. All genres. I have only talked about this solo with one person in the world. He’s dead now. Thanks for putting out this discussion. It is unbelievable.

on Joshua Redman album "spirit of the moment" live at the village vanguard 1995 . Nice ideas and so interesting to hear Peter talking about his own performance ...thanks Peter and Adam for sharing this
