Great lesson Tony. I reckon "almost like being in love" is also a good tune to practice this kind of stuff. I like the contrast between the closed and open voicings. good tip!

There’s no Gmi7 in the song. It should be an Eb major 7, or just continue the Bb.

In the Miles recording with Percy Heath, Percy plays a pretty clear G on the downbeat every time at measure 12. John Lewis also plays a clear G minor triad (and has been playing a lot of roots so it's reasonable to interpret this as a rooted voicing too). I think Gmin7 is correct. My two cents!

Chet Baker version has the Bb continued for two measures though, yes.
