Remodeling the pool and coverting all the pop ups to a&a. What if the main drain flows into the skimmer before going to the filter. How do you set the pool correctly? How do you make sure the water is being pulled from the main drain?
Have you ever heard vibrating/humming from the gear assembly? My A&A 6 port will do this when cycling from steps to the deep end. It almost sounds like a old fighter plane. I swear it’s the gear unit, but looked inside and it’s seems fine. The flappers all appear to be normal also. It’s very odd.
I have heard of that several times and fixed it several times as well. I’ve had success with changing out the six flaps in the bottom with new ones. Even if they aren’t that old sometimes they just don’t sit right and cause that excessive vibration.
@@ghuber171 Thanks for the reply, I ended up turning the PSI down and it helped quiet it down. To be honest it may have just worn itself out. I don’t think I even hear it anymore. The gear assembly is less than one year old.
Do you know why, if I turn the Jandy valve to close off the in floor returns so it goes only to the side returns, that a little water still flows out of one of the in floor zones? Are the side returns somehow linked to the A&A system, I.e. one of my zones is actually using the side returns, so there can be back pressure?
I just noticed my pop up nozzles aren’t working like they used to. I think there were 4 zones but now most of the heads all come up at the same time. Of course the pressure out of these is decreased drastically. Any suggestions?
Sounds like your water valve may be bypassing and allowing multiple zones to get water flow. Not just one zone like the valve is suppose to. You may need to replace the entire valve or at minimum flaps and a gear kit.
