I test drove this unit Tunland V7 in Manila motorshow and I felt the the 2.0TurboDiesel 160BHP is not Fit enough power to the Big body. It just Got the Good American truck Looks, luxurious interior but the Price is a tad too Hi because FOTON unit resale value has horrible depreciation value and hard to sell. Ideally It should start at 1.4M to 1.6M SRP.
They look good, but less power than a midsize truck? Though you get a full size for the price of a midsize, so I guess it's not bad? This Foton has less than half the power of a RAM Rebel, but it's only about 1/3rd the price, so reasonable.
Agree with your analysis. My everest 3.2 has 470Nm, ranger raptor has 500, hilux grs has 550. 450Nm on this huge truck is probably just ok, but we'll see how it actually performs on the road, hopefully i can drive it in a more realistic scenario.
@@TeamDyTV Good point, and that's midsized. Though I'm very interested to see how the test drives go. Regardless of the power specs, it does seem like a good value. Interesting that diesel midsize trucks aren't that far off the torque spec of full size gas trucks, the big difference is hp/ps, which is usually double for big gas trucks.

Would be better if they got a 3.0L turbo engine from like Isuzu and tuned to atleast 200hp and 500nm torque.. Hybrid cars are hard to maintain lalo pag katagalan na, also the availability of parts, alam ko ang Foton mahirap makakuha ng parts kahit sa mga trucks nila. My concern about this truck is its engine and transmission. Mas ok pa ata yung sa JMC kasi may lifetime warranty sa engine.
At least 500Nm - agree. Availability of parts is always the question, I thought Foton being in the country for quite some time now, would have a network already of auto suppliers in Banawe, Pasay, etc.
@@TeamDyTV Ok lang naman sya bilhin, ok lang din kahit di pa natin alam reliability, ang hassle lang kasi if may masira tapos ilang weeks or months yung unit mo na nasa Casa. What if wala kang extra car to use, ikaw kawawa. Buti kung papahiramin ka nila ng unit while your car is waiting for parts dba.
Matagal na dito yan si Foton sa Middle East nauna pa ata satin ok naman nakaka survived kahit sobrang init.. nag tataka lang ako sa lahat ng bus ng foton kasi pag masyadong mainit na sa labas lalong lumalakas lamig ng aircon😂😂 kahit steady settings lang sya..
Before buying foton.kindly ask the truck haulers about foton performance.they injtially dumped japan surplus trucks for foton years back.they are now back to japan surplus .kasabihan..POTO yan
Ang alam ko when it comes to hauling yung HOWO ang sikat ngayon, mas pinipili ng mga mining businessmen yan over Isuzu na sobrang mahal na daw. HOWO is also Chinese.
Wrong dito sa Negros most truckers here use foton dahil malakas at hindi lugi yung karga nila maski to the max pa kaya ng Foton yan e compare mo sa Fuso or Hino.

Dapat lang ang bibili nito ay if marami kanang sasakyan. If you have only one or none and you are not sure of China brand cars. Don't buy but if you are like me na maraming sasakyan naka reserve I am willing to buy and try this one.
