This is TUNNEL nightclub at SURFERS PARADISE, Queensland, Australia. Great times here from 1992-96. We had some of the best local & international Techno DJs play here. One of my biggest nights...Paul Van Dyke played a special set. Outstanding. Also Aussie's DJ Nik Fish, always popular at making this club thump.
Thanks mate this bought back some wicked memories! I know alot of the faces in this and I am in one shot. I left the coast 94 moved to Sydney started Djing clubs and Raves then moved to Melbourne and landed a dream gig playing at Skin@DOME and toured OZ and Bali many times. Dj Angus and I were great mates. I was inspired by all the DJs the played Tunnel. Thanks again.
@@tomdesposito5729 Yes you are correct Tom .Watched this a while ago while juiced up and got my wires crossed. My home town of South Shields , also had a rave club ,called the Tunnel.. When the world was still a free place. Without thought police and arseholes dictating how you should think and behave..
Omg¡. This brought some amazing memories flooding back. I was searching for the music from the Tunnel Nightclub, and came across this. Wow.. the music from the club was the tomorrow music. Still sounds great by today’s standards.

+Tony had you been born you would have absolutely LOVED the 70's and the early to mid 80's..OMG!!!! To do it all over again i would do anything but sell my soul to the devil. So much fun and free spirited dancing and love.
88 to 91 was the Tunnels peak. Ecstacy was pure and wasn't ruined by bikers who saturated the market with sub par pills in the 90s ruining people's night's. Definitely recognised a couple of old faces.

I miss the Tunnel NYC , started my first experience age 19 1997 than started to hang at lime light and Soundfactory I was known as Saturn dancer ! Most know me if you do remember lol
The tunnel was the bomb back in the day. I was there every weekend until they started having all these rappers turn the place into a fucking jungle... One of the reasons why i am guessing it closed it's doors. but i cold be mistaken. either way, those assholes ruined it for us
The tunnel was downright calm compared to twilo. Sasha and digweed, and the KING himself, Junior Vasquez. The bars were stocked with water bottles. Oh yeah, needed all that water when the ex and tina made you sweat. If you did order an alcoholic beverage the bartenders would give you stink eye then the bouncers would eyeball you, so that kept most of the guidos and rap kids away. That was for the tunnel crowd and webster hall.
Different Tunnel obviously we were on the Gold Coast Australia there was no stink eye or bouncers chasing you.. we were wild young and free.. you could drink or do whatever you wanted to.. and party 🎉 like nothing else mattered apart from the people you were partying with . Strangers or not. Massively great time , then head out on a ship afterward to continue partying . Sorry out time sounds better 🤪🤪🤪❤️❤️💕👍
I can’t even wrap my head around how wrong this comment is lol. From 93-99ish (maybe a little longer) I was all over NYC. Limelight, Tunnel AND Twilo were all amazing clubs. Tunnel in NYC was literally legendary. I also drank plenty at Twilo and never had a problem lol.
I use to go into the Tunnel around 1:30 am and come out around 11 am the next morning! LOL! This was back in the late 90s, early 00s. I remember Vin Diesel was one of the bouncers then.
DetroitLives313 both were Tunnel clubs. Tunnels were around also in UK. We enjoyed ours, you enjoyed yours. I wish they were still about playing same music as early 90s. Great music great times. Peace.
***** that's the reason they closed limelight but deff not the tunnel. Like I said the tunnel had alot of people scared on Sunday nights, and the violence that came with it. That's the major reason for closing down the tunnel night club.
You're right it was because of hip hop night which was Sunday night, and the whole west side neighborhood where Tunnel was located was just mobbed with blacks from all over. Peter needed the money for his court case, but by that time NYC was changing and people really spoke up about all the noise, fights, and bullshit that went on a fuckin sunday night. Tunnel was open till like 5 or 6 am and it was madness over there in the late 90s. I think shit hit the fan when someone was finally shot and killed and by then the squeeze was on from Guiliani about his distain for nightclubs in NY. Tunnel was the shit btw in the early/mid 90s. And this vid is not the NYC Tunnel its so obvious
