The bridge does actually have 1936 embedded into it so it was finished that year. Best guess is that by the time the tunnels were completed the route was set to be abandoned.

I’ve ridden up Hwy 39 to Camp Williamson’s never knew about this dirt trail. I will have to try it sometime.

You could put in a nice dirt loop doing Lower Monroe Truck Trail to Hwy 39.

The 1930s one is at the Bridge to Nowhere.

Bride to Nowhere is wilderness so no bikes unless federal government changes the laws. Great area in spring or fall when weather is good. Few cars and smaller crowds on weekdays. Come prepared to ride out for some distance till you can get help. Cell phone service not the best.

Even if you wanted to reach the bridge, taking a bike is not a good choice.
