one minute in i said to myself "60 dollars in tupperware is nothing!" and then had to go look up an inflation calculator. my congratulations to wadeann - very impressive sales
@@MidModMeridianASMR Around 1990s and early 2000s. I helped her organizing orders. While I was organizing them we played pretend like I am a grown up and live on my own and those were my orders. When I grew up and moved in my own place, she brought me a box filled with tupperwares.
I was born in 1962, so I remember my Mum's Tupperware parties from the late 60's-early 70's. She'd make platters of fussy little finger sandwiches and hors d'oeuvres. And I definitely remember all the Tupperware from that era...some of ours was still hanging around well into the 80's.
Same here. The pastel Tupperware is from my earliest memories, and it hung around in our house for decades. Funny thing, though-i actually sold Tupperware in 1977 when I was in high school! 😂 I had a blast, and in addition to earning money, I earned a sample set to use at my parties. Got to keep that when I quit-it was full of all the harvest gold, burnt orange, and olive green of the 70s. I kept it under my bed until I moved out after college. From day one I was all set with my Tupperware!! 😂😂
@MidModMeridianASMR The burnt orange ones are the ones my mother had when I was growing up. She kept flour and sugar in them. The biggest ome had cookies. For YEARS Id do my best to quietly open that orange tub with the oreos and chips ahoy so I could sneak a few before dinner 😂
❤❤❤❤ oh just in time!!!! I just crawled into my bed with my crochet basket. Perfect video to end the night. Thank you soooo much for your hard and fantastic work producing these 😊😊
I love all your videos, your props and your scripts! And also the little references you put in about the previous ones, like the Everglades and the Flamingo. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go back and watch Wadeen's party again for the demonstration of the anti-drip coasters. 😅
This video is perfection! Love the Flamingo Motel reference! Have to tell you quick story. We live in FL but went to other side of state for few nights. Based on reviews and pics, I booked what I thought was a retro "Flamingo Motel". I was so excited! We checked in and yes, it was authentic but was really a dump. 😂 🤷♀️
I’m a millennial so it was pampered chef parties in my mother’s living room! but I never got tingles from those like I do these videos ❤ thanks for your hard work!
My mother had so much pampered chef stuff, as well as 70s tupperware, a Kirby vaccuum, partylite candles, and worked for Creative Memories and Longaberger for years. Mlms seemed so much more wholesome back in the day somehow. Now its really slimy and most dont make a single penny from it.
I don’t always get tingles these days when watching and listening to ASMR videos. It’s almost like I’ve got a tolerance to tingles if that makes sense. But for some reason this video literally was triggering lots of intense tingles which was such a pleasant surprise. And also I found it extremely soothing. Wonderful. Thank you.
Wow!! I’m so glad to hear this! I’m right there with you with the tingle immunity problem. But it always surprises me what breaks through occasionally. @justpaperasmr does it to me when she gets to the end of a magazine and starts turning the pages backwards. Olga @asmrsense when she does unspoken paperwork or handles tea bags. And I found a new channel @vintagetoysasmr which triggers one of my IRL triggers from way back-a child gently and quietly playing by him/herself. Anyway, glad I could break through some of that tingle immunity. 💚💚💚
Wow! When my mother and grandmother were still living, my grandmother would give my mom a piece of Avon Cape Cod glassware every Christmas. As her collection grew, it became the set she used every Christmas.
Do you have acting training? You’re a very good actor. Even the first moment of the video you had a strong “moment before”. You made me feel like you actually lugged in some boxes of Tupperware. And you had a strong emotional life being pleased with the sales. And lots of specifics and sense memory with the describing of the process of going to the factory. I know you actually used to work at Tupperware so you had that to draw upon, but not everyone can bring that “to life” as imaginatively as you do. If you ever need new video ideas (you prob don’t!) I would love to see you training the new employee at Jo Ann Fabrics.
That’s a great idea, Arnold. I will definitely do that for my next fabric store video. And no, I have no training (nor experience) as an actor, save my junior play in high school!! 😂😂 But thank you very much for the compliment. I definitely try for realism in my videos bc for me, ASMR first happens to most of us in real life, usually in childhood. 💚💚
What if some of the ladies at the party were like not able to come up with the money for their orders and didn’t pick them up. I bet that might be a little embarrassing for Wadine. And the products would have to be returned to the distribution center?
Good question. When I sold Tupperware in 1977, that never happened, not once. But even today, I have friends whose kids sell candy bars for school band, for example. They always collect upon delivery of the candy, not when ordered. Maybe because a community is a community? None of these ladies are strangers to Wadeanne. ☺️ 🏡🏡🧍🏻👩🏾🤝👨🏽🏡🧍🏻♀️🧍🏼♂️👭🏡🧍🏽👨🏻🤝👨🏼👩🏾🤝👨🏽🏡
my mom used to tell me about my grandma's Tupperware parties😊 she passed down the same Tupperware that you used in your video here to my mom, so this made me feel like I'm at home😊💕
I just discovered your channel I normally don’t like soft spoken but you do it so well I enjoy these videos very much. I love how you described the Tupperware and just the noises in general. Thank you for taking time to make these videos for us.
I love how we now have a Mid Modern universe of characters and ongoing storylines. ❤ What do they call that with the Marvel movies? The Marvelverse? This is the Mid Modern Meridianverse. I’m all in to find out what Wadeen’s super power is. I’m sort of scared to know what Ruthie could do, considering she drinks at work. 😂
I grew up in the 90s eating many a pudding in those Tupperwares (along with many other Tupperware dishes throughout the kitchen). You pulled out those popsicle molds and a memory of sucking the last bit out of those popsicle sticks with little holes popped into my head. Love your soft-spoken ASMR and the Tupperware series 💙
