Turai Chana Dal
Serve 4-5
Recipe in English:
Ingredients:
-Cooking oil ½ Cup
-Pyaz (Onion) sliced 1 large
-Adrak lehsan paste (Ginger garlic paste) 1 tsp
-Chana daal (Split begal gram) soaked ½ Cup
-Pani (Water) 1 & ½ Cups or as required
-Tamatar (Tomato) chopped 1 large
-Namak (Salt) 1 tsp or to taste
-Haldee powder (Turmeric powder) ½ tsp
-Lal mirch powder (Red chili powder) 1 tsp or to taste
-Torai (Ridge gourd) peeled ½ kg
-Kali mirch (Black pepper) crushed ½ tsp
-Garam masala powder ½ tsp
-Hari mirch (Green chilies) 1-2
-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped 1-2 tbs
Directions:
-In pot,add cooking oil,onion and fry until golden brown.
-Add ginger garlic paste and mix well.
-Add split bengal gram,water,mix well and bring it to boil,cover partially and cook on low flame until tender (approx. 25-30 minutes).
-Add tomatoes and mix,add salt,turmeric powder,red chili powder,mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
-Add ridge gourd and mix well,cover and cook on low flame 15 minutes then cook on high flame until oil separates.
-Add black pepper crushed,garam masala powder and mix well.
-Add green chilies,fresh coriander & serve.

-Torai (Ridge gourd) peeled ½ kg

-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped 1-2 tbs
Directions:
-Pot mein cooking oil and pyaz dal dein aur golden brown hunay tak fry ker lein.
-Adrak lehsan paste dal ker ache tarhan mix karein.
-Chana daal aur pani dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur ubal anay ka bad partially dhak dein aur halki ancch per gul janay tak paka lein (approx. 25-30 minutes).
-Tamatar dal ker mix karein,namak,haldee powder aur lal mirch powder dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur 5 minutes kliya paka lein.
-Torai dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur dhak ker halki ancch per 15 minutes kliya paka lein phir tez ancch per oil alag hunay tak paka lein.
-Kali mirch crushed aur garam masala powder dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
-Hari mirch aur hara dhania dal ker serve karein.
