Every word you said is true! So glad you emphasized PERFECT! The word perfect lends itself to safety, meets type design, and in condition for safe operation.
The gearbox mechanics looks quite 'conventional' like any industrial gear system. Is it just normal machined steel stuff or is it deceiving? Are the bearings of the shelf stuff or super special for a turbine engine?
Good morning , I am very interested to join with this company, my back ground is aircraft engine overhaul technician of CFM 56 . Would you please to give me information how to join with this company.. Thankyou very much. Kind regards
5 days per part sounds very slow. I find it quite despicable that an overhaul costs about half a million dollars. a brand new engine shouldn't cost anywhere close to that let alone a mere inspection. it's very counterproductive gatekeeping that only serves to keep aviation cost prohibitive and in the sorry state that GA is in.
Tom Barry,,, A pleasure to greet you again, I am Jorge Bogarin from Asunción Paraguay, I would like to know if how much I would get to take a course of PT6A series in your
Ralph Latham Most of the thousands of parts you speak of are actually nuts, bolts, seals and if necessary.... bearing. The remaining... are actually as few as sixty parts that actually take up inspection time. All turbine rotor disks, blades and stater, the combustion liner and hot end... those are the usual basic inspection items.
Yes it takes 5 days FOR A TEAM to inspect all the parts. A company like this is paid to keep the plane safe and in the sky. Not grounded, so they have a massive team doing these inspections and repairs. I would bet 3-4 guys inspect parts for a week.
