+1 for the Single Cam! I can’t believe you made this power on a stock block f22. I’m new to building Honda’s, just picked ap a d16y7 ek 1996 hatch a couple months ago and started turboing it. It’s crazy the power they can take! Subbed
You can use the f23A1 intake manifold bolts right up from pick a part $40 and port it out then slightly bend forward the cable brackets on the manifold where the rubber coverings are attached if you don't then cables cut into it leaving tb open and closing issues easy fix I also used a skunk2 68mm tb runs great nice work man
This thing is awesome I've had 5 of these accords and love em, me and my boy are putting together a dleeper 94 4 door on the same type of budget, great work and thanks for sharing
Amazing i had basically the same setup in mind. I blew my head gasket so im getting the head machined while the engine is open and also having arp head studs thrown in. Planning on running close to this power by the end of the year. one thing that sucks about the f22b2 though is the 85mm bore not as many pistons are made for and the iron sleeves make it unborable
Do it bro. Them F series engines are the truth brother. Plus nobody would expect it since everyone else is too busy focusing on all the B D & K series cars that are a dime a dozen these days. Rarely do you ever come across a built SOHC F series! I say go for it
@@jordanprice9285 i have a 97 accord “Special Edition” 2.2L SOHC i got for a $400 steal but it’s engine is dying after 220k miles sadly so im swapping this weekend from non-vtec to v-tec wish m luck! heard i would need new dash but im turbocharging it for sure
I gotta see how you ran your hot side intercooler piping.. I'm having a hard time trying to route mine. I've completely refreshed my whole setup this past few months. But if you can make a video of how you ran the hotside on your driverside piping that be great bro
Seen you comment on a post on fb yesterday about your car, and I commented on it, but this is nice man. Simple, and you don't have to do much to gap plenty of people and hurt feelings. F series are undisputed 😂😂
Awesome build I'm doing something similar f22a1 though still researching to find out some more about what works best for the f22. I'm so tempted to leave my auto tran in just to see how much it can handle before destroying itself. Plus I have 2 of them.
@jackclemens8320 I'm nearly done with the build and not sure if I'll turbo it because I'm trying to pick up a coupe with a 5 speed. Also a month ago I found a really cheap wagovan rt4wd manual. So I'm more tempted to turbo the coupe and the wagovan. I'm getting ready to start posting soon when I'm ready to put the motor in. If you do turbo the auto look into getting a bigger transmission fluid cooler it might help a little.
Back 16 years ago when I got my 91 accord I found something about someone getting 900 something horse power out of a built sohc f22. I tried looking it up again a couple weeks ago and I couldn't find it and I don't remember where I saw it
What can cause a week packed honda accord engine not to roll. The Dashboard light shows but can't start. Oil services was done recently before packing.
Glad I came across this video! I have a 92 Accord with a f22a6. Wanting 300whp if possible. What is your thoughts and things I should upgrade. Will be running a GT3582 turbo. Not sure what I should run as far as ecu and clutch?
Hello, pretty sick what you did with that motor, and rear bumper , how did you get it on without the support ? I’m looking to do the same thing when I get to my car
I think it's great building it from scratch....I'm going to turbo my 2k accord ex and buy my parts individually..I'd like to keep my ac and ps . .. do you still have this car
I currently have a built jdm f23a with rods and pistons and I'm using my stock f22b2 head..on e85 fuel also it should make close to 500whp around 20+ lbs
@theboostedsingle5356 im trying to go for a similar build, i got a 91 accord lx, i bought an f23a1 to swap into it and eventually go boost, i was thinking i could get the engine wiring harness and sub harness and ecu from any 94-97 ex accord so i can go obd2 and run vtec, would u recommend instead the p28 ecu that u went with or is this a good enough idea to use the same ecu from a 5th gen ex accord?
Wanna do 300hp on my wagon f22b2 what turbo would workout good ? Also just submitted to accord alliance on fb as well . After head bolts ,head gasket ,and a p28 ,welbro fuel pump what all else would I need thanks ?
Tbh man it started off as a budget setup around 1500 but im well deep into it now lmao we just finished up the built motor check out the other videos on my channel
@@chrisgreen1242 im doing my f23a block with my f22 head check out the new video on my channel ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ro-Je7UD550.html
Is it worth spending money on a different series motor? Or keeping the f22b2 and swap a new one in the stock motor I have right now is 248k miles. I currently have straight pipe headers and intake
@@dylancrosslin6496 precision 880cc injectors and chipped p28 ECU I haven't gotten hondata yet but hondata isna better tuning software than a chipped p28
@@BrodyBrodester absolutely bro..but I don't recommend going that high on pump gas.. we have access to E85 fuel which is the only reason I was able to push 22-24lbs
bro, the car is cool, but watch your car, the salon is in shit, nothing is well maintained, it requires love, but you can’t run it to the state of shit, good luck to you
