I recently bought my 1994 m edition woth 48k miles at the time and I been really wanting to turbo it after around a year of ownership. The car has been super reliable with no issues since ownership
@@snowleopardbro2956 Well if you're really set on doing it, make sure your motor is spotless before you start messing with the AFR. Walnut shell blast or don't turbo it. I strongly recommend the latter if you like the reliability. Miatas are one of the rare slow cars that are fun just the way they are. LPT: Keep the miata and get an 86 and turbo THAT
I’m going to let you know from experience, if you don’t get a coolant reroute, your #4 cylinder will surly overheat and loose compression. I would recommend the iL Motorsport reroute as the FM reroute that I have doesn’t work well with any radiator that’s not made/sold by flyin miata. I have a MishiMoto rad and a FM kit and the hose rubs on the throttle body.
You ain't gotta justify anything. The FM kits is trouble free and bad azz . I know this , because I bought one myself and ill do it again and again cuz it works. BOOSTED 1.6 ROLLIN !!
Thats an NA i have an NB but i spent maybe 3500$ total on a brand new turbo kit with all AN lines, megasquirt, x clutch. Everything new. Flyin miata is nice but pretty expensive. Tbh
They can... 6500 for a shitty kit when individual compenants cost a 3rd of that. Looking at that turbo its literally smaller than what comes on a ralliart colt...
The costs and maintenance even associated with long term 13b setups are not even comparable to the price tag and reliability of this entire build. Sure you make 500, but who’s going to need a rebuild first? Seat time > more power
@@y5_mkuu_mzuri604 not saying a 13b can’t be reliable. Just stating the Miata engine is still more reliable over a longer period of time, for less money.
