4:54 just a small tip, keep the rod under the gas cup while your letting the weld cool, if you pull the rod out while its still cherry red, it will become contaminated. It's not a huge deal, but its proper titanium welding technique and will give you that nice shinny silver weld all the way around.
If you have to pull your filler rod out of your flow, just cut off 1/2" or so to get back to clean rod . This applies to stainless steel, chrome molly, even mild steel, and aluminum as well because you're bringing contamination back into your puddles regardless. That's what I was taught many, many years ago, when I learned doing boiler tunes. It cost you a little filler rod to do it this way, but after you get into the habit of holding in your cup flow. It's not long before muscle memory takes over, and you're back on auto pilot easily enough.
I’m glad out of the OG members, Wyatt stayed along. I’ve been watching for a long time and it was always cool that you and Charlie were building the wagons. Content has been better and better and the production quality is night and day. Congratulations on the success and continue with the a sick builds! 🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾
Wyatt has literally stepped up the quality to a whole new level on all the builds he has touched. Can’t wait to see his own project ripping. He needs him one of them K powered machines or really any Honda back in his life. Man is growing up too fast and I fear he might loose his Honda Boi roots if something is not done about it
That thing starting to really come together and will be a beast when it gets all lined out and starts making passes. Be great to see you guys out doing the Raceweek's too.
For safety purposes, I highly recommend building a metal shield around your water-to-air intercooler, since you placed it inside the passengers seat. With PSI this high there is a small chance of the intercooler/piping exploding.
Y’all are top notch! With the color Wyatt went with the engine hoping he color matches the body. Thing is clean and the story behind the truck being his grandpas is even better
Great thing you got the car insured and temp regged so fast! That's the way to do it. And this duramax is going to be amazing. Cannot wait until this thing fires up and the first ride on a track!
I've been watching this channel since the beginning and I NEVER would have guessed back in the early CO days you guys would have builds of this caliber. You guys have come a long way and can't wait to see where you guys are in another few years!
For a couple of young guys youve got a ton of skill between the two of you ive always enjoyed the content I cant wait for this beast to make its first pass
It’s always nice to finally get round to doing a job, that you put off for one reason or another…… and actually enjoy doing it. Awesome job for a first attempt on your pipework 👌🏼🔥
I love the addition of a diesel powered truck build. I drive a 93 D250 12 valve garage 5 speed with just minor upgrades (HX35 turbo, Hungry diesel fuel pin and 3200 spring, timing bump, fuel screw maxed out, 4 in diamond eye exhaust). And more mods will follow, truck is all OEM primered gray with rust and 95% dent free body. So keep the diesel build videos coming
This build is going to be wild. All of that titanium is going to look bananas. Aside from this and dirtymax Jack building 8-ball, there aren’t many other diesel race trucks in yt right now. Stoked to see this finished and running.
Hell yeah man looks killer !! I got pulled over in a prelude I just bought awhile back. No tag, no insurance, title wasn't in my name yet etc. They dropped everything but the reckless driving, speeding part when I showed everything was squared away in court. No worries...
So glad you brought this project on your channel Kyle! Have been following on Wyatt’s RU-vid channel before hand, such a awesome build. You guys are killin it!
Damn shes looking so good, Glad you Boiz are feeling better and back at the grinding, don't ever worry about taking some time ti relax and recover, your Boiz and Gals aint going no where. big love from Portugal
looks beautiful boys.... sidenote all of you Florida boys need to start using steel-it spray coating, as you install it just slap some steel-it on there and if you need to add anything else you can just weld to the steel-it. no rust no extra sanding no worries 👍🏽. none the less loving the build boys keep up the great work
You should pressure test with shop air and clamped v bands at the joints. Maybe do a leak down test in the pool? That titanium looks great. Glad to see you just went for it. You guys are awesome!
Love the ying and yang of this project and your normal stuff. Beautiful welding. Can’t wait to see it run. Love how you both get to live your dreams. 👍
Heck yeah Wyatt!!! Way to go sending it 👍 I love seeing you guys purge a project finally lol! Quick tip, I like to keep my filler rod in the post flow as it's cooling down. Not exactly crucial, but good form. Especially if you got an inspector watching 🤣 You killed it man. For real though. I'm so stoked to see this truck progress. 🤘🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅
Wyatt's lookin fresh with his new haircut, whoever did that sure is a Professional! I say this because I am a Professional Barber, gotta give props when it's due!!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
LET'S GO!!!🏁 I'm actually in the process of fitting up and tacking my downpipe together right now....your welds look much better than mine...but I'm getting there...
