It’s good to see you taking care of Wyatt ! He deserves it in my opinion good genuine hard-working people are hard to fine and he’s been kicking ass for you!
Yes! Pumped about this build! Not just because it’s diesel, mainly to have another build to follow and watch race. It’ll be cool to see you two both racing on the same day!
I would love to see an autocross or road course build. The insane high hp drag builds are great, but branching out into a suspension and chassis focused build would really expand your horizons. Plus it's fun as fuck
Upgraded breaks is a massive rotational weight reduction! Scalloped rotors for less rotational mass and alum calipers for a weight reduction too. Also that’s all sprung weight and helps the shocks control the motion. Do some ceramic ball bearing wheel bearings if they are available too.
@@niceview2112 i wouldn't mind that either! However, i don't know if it would get as many views though. The nature of the quick drift runs and content between is great for RU-vid content. Some may not stay to see someone drive around a large size track for laps. I'd for sure watch it, but idk how it would do overall.
Wyatt needs some solo video time explaining his own work, back like when he was doing a lot of content on his own channel. He is an absolute pro at explaining his work and explaining everything he does and why. Having him do his own film sometimes wouldn't hurt to break up the content.
Love the DeLorean! Got a guy up here in Petoskey, Michigan that has one, he drives it around every summer, got to see it a few times parked and checked it out!
Loving the truck build. Please show as much of the fab work as possible. The 2 of you together has almost been magical. The future seems so bright for you guys.
Hey Kyle absolutely love what you're doing with the channel and now letting Wyatt put his truck on the channel is totally awesome keep doing what you're doing brother absolutely love it
TBM brakes less weight more stopping power and I think it would be a great platform for testing the product.great to see truck progress keep up the good work
Honestly the backfires on the 240 made it the best burnout car I've ever seen in person. the rapid fire chest pounding explosions are so impressive and gets a huge smiles
For your power steering pump, I’m using a KSE PS pump that they use on sprint cars. Very compact in size and run a higher pressure that an oem pump. As a bonus they have an output on the rear to bolt on a mech fuel pump or a dry sump pump so you can run both with only 1 belt. Works great on the street so far. Heaps better and more responsive that the electric pumps.
the fact that you gave wyatt his own garage space to work on his own projects inbetween filming just shows the type of relationship you guys have. the main reason why ive watched this channel for the past 6 years is because of how genuine you guys are. keep keeping it real!
Let's goooo Hey Kyle, take a piece of aluminum plate and cut and bend it like a u shape angled a little open and shield your parachute from the back. That should keep from burning from exhaust. Good luck. I enjoy watching the channel
Man....the new daily holy smokes. Congrats on all the success. You guys have been working your tails off to grow this channel and you deserve all the best. All of you guys.
God have I been waiting for this moment. Excited to watch this journey. Man I hope you see this message and want another fab guy to join the boosted boiz hit me up Kyle
So good to see wyatt getting more time he is an awesome mechanic he can do everything u put in front of hm Kyle use 2 are going go really far keep up the good work and all the good content wee send use love and support from East belfast norther Ireland
Kyle needs ideal Drifting? No, TJ HUNT Is who Kyle needs to bounce ideas off of. Sr20 196x mustang, lambo,2 rx7, mk4 mk5, rhen rhe brzs, dude has immaculate taste and a vision
You shouldn’t upgrade your brakes for better stopping power but you should try and reduce the weight of the brakes. Reducing the rotational and unsprung will improve the car in ways that are unbelievable. Can’t wait to see the MR2 hot the track again!
@@jamesonmcfargo1067 although I understand what your saying, it’s better to add some more weight on the weight plate and reduce the weight of the rotors and callipers as both are part of the unsprung weight and the rotors are part of the rotational weight aswell. If you’re curious as to why that’s important Engineering Explained has a great video as to how those impact a car. It’s especially important on race cars. I wouldn’t be surprised to see half a tenth to a tenth off of the ET with a change to lighter brakes. Maybe Kyle can knock on TBM Brakes’ doors to see if they can help him out. Great brakes and not expensive at all for what they are.
Drifting is a lot of fun. And the 240 is a good platform for it. Build yourself a stout LS for it that you can throw a turbo at later if you want more horsepurrs.
Sweet boys!! MR2 is in all the way she gonna back that 7 sec all day 😎 truck looks 🔥 yo that TURBO! Bra!! Hell yes 👍 🙌 👏 love the variety with the diesel love the channel keep up the awesome content 👏 😎💪👌
Thank you for coming thru with your promise to show Wyatt’s build, I love all cars and trucks. Variety is gonna make everyone happier and you guys are amazing together, Kyle= let’s send it !…… Wyatt= hold up we need to at least put all the bolts in and tighten them….. a match made in heaven
@@daniesalex7073 no point in reinventing the wheel on a s chassis. There's plenty of options that are arguably better than the j swap. J swap was cool but it's in the wrong chassis in my opinion would be a lot better used in something else more suited for just blowing tires off in a skidpad.
Keep the j series in the 240. It’s so cool. The sound is unreal. Solve the steering, solve the clutch, move the turbos so you can see. Do some drift events
Leave the J series in it. From what I’ve seen on your vids the hubs were swapped from side to side. So it’s given you reverse Ackerman. Which will be making it drive awful. If you get a set of hubs with 0 Ackerman. Over here in the uk “geomasters” are available with 0 degrees Ackerman which works well for drift. So if you fitted something like that you wouldn’t have anymore steering issues with having them on the wrong sides. Then just fit adjustable toe arms from someone like hardrace to remove any bump steer.
Love this build so keen for it to walk the civic! 😂 nah always wanted a diesel build, specially my preferred motor! The truck design and everything.. LOVE IT
1st thing to do with the 240 is put a can over each pipe.Maybe a small LS for Drifting, and smoking the tires off.You can always save the motor for Razzle-Dazzle.Throw that turbo set-up on it for Glamis? The truck's looking pretty bada$$ and it hasn't even started.
You can loose alot more rotating mass with a aftermarket brake setup. Lighter rotors especially on the rear would help. Also on the electric PS pump, could see if 2 of them ran to a Y fitting would help build pressure up for the rack. If not there are some higher pressure aftermarket electric pumps
I think a LS swap would be awesome, maybe cleetus and the guys would be down to collab for the build. They would definitely love seeing you guys LS swap anything.
I love the 240 being a dedicated burnout car, the only thing is that have you seen how clean some of the burnout cars from Australia are? I'd like to see at least 1 burnout car from the US to be on the same level as the Australians, cleetus is there almost with the camaro
@@26b47 yeah I appreciate that, all I mean is a clean body, there seems to be so many "beater" burnout cars in the US, the only one that I reckon is anywhere near the standard is the mystery machine. That's my opinion
a Diesel swap for the 240 would be sick to see you guys explore in.... im a big fan of the OM606 Mercedes Benz turbo diesel, and seeing you guys rev that thing up to 6k would be insane.
Awesome content as always! One or two more years you'll being showing up in a double stack with your fleet! Keep it going and best wishes as always boiz!!!
Id love to see the 240 actually be a drift build like you guys started to, id love to see the ls swap in it and just get that seat time, you guys should also do a serious grip build as well
It's hard to write something that hasn't already been said in the comments! Agree and second nearly all of them. As always great content, loving what you Boiz are doing 🔥🔥 Can't wait to see Wyatt's truck monstering down the track and the MR2 going back to the moon!
I’d honestly love to see you guys throw an LS in the 240 cause like you said. It’s simple, reliable, makes 500 HP N/A and you get to learn how to drift and go do big burnouts on the limiter. It would be pretty sweet to see
@@braev818 well it’s definitely doing thing differently for them. They could k swap it just like half there other vehicles. They want to go a different route with little to no maintenance
Just a thought for the 240, have you thought about the Australian Ford Barra motor? 4L I6 N/A and turbo versions available and boosted can run over 1000hp and not sure about N/A but probably 450+ with a built bottom end and some head work?
Yeah I love seeing US scene flocking to these things but the Barra is still expensive to get over to the US, and if something went wrong, you'd have months of downtime waiting for parts. An LS on the other hand, raid your mates spares, overnight parts from Summit or just find a busted Tahoe in the junkyard and rip another one out.
Damn y'all, I REALLY miss living in Flaarda. I have lived in Pittsburgh since 2000 and I have a wife and two sons here and my wife refuses to leave her family, but it's like 16 degrees here and Friday it was 62 degrees and sunny, then Friday night into Saturday morning we got 6 inches of snow and we're supposed to get snow showers tomorrow morning (Sunday). I'm SO tired of the cold and I miss being able to go fishing whenever I want...in a tee shirt.
I think when they say upgrade them, they mean get lighter drag brakes. None vented and small calipers. You’ll need the chute everytime but wayy lighter.
@@ElliHarper I didn’t mean he’ll need it or he won’t stop I just meant it’s best if he does going that high. Even with hood brakes, going that fast it’s good to always use a chute.
@@ElliHarper yeah, the way I wrote it sounds like that, but I was typing it as Kyle was talking about pulling the chute more to get used to it so I threw that in there.
Instead of an LS or 2J in the 240, why not try something Mopar related? The 5.7L Hemi is about the same price as an LS, but it would require a lot more on the fab side to make it fit.
Aftermarket hemi tax is real, along with the the connectivity & control, yiu can google any LS issue or question and have google damn near read the response back. I don't see there being the same knowledge and support out there for 5.7 hemi. Now recommending the 6.4 Hem would be ideal of the 2. * hemi tax* But they are ideal set ups especially if you find one out of a wreck and xan get the trans & motor! Its a drop in whatever motor and now you have a hot rod
The 240... swap out the rear mount rack for a front mount rack, where the tierods connect infront of the wheel hubs instead of behind them. And keep the j series in it, don't ruin it with a crappy LS boat anchor.
I’d do a front steering rack in the 240 with an angle kit. Nothing against the ls but switching the engine because of that seem like a word around for something that’s best changed anyway.
@@danielmiddleton6166 I know, he’s saying he might go ls because of the rear steering rack clearance, I’m saying just switch to front steer with the k series
The Duramax is looking dope Wyatt! Bad ass upgrades to the MR2 Kyle! LS swap. Stop beating around the bush already and get an LS into the fleet. Expand those horizons. Theres's a reason they're so popular... even though the LS swap has been beaten to death, but so has the K. Dew et!
