Today's episode includes an in-depth explanation of oiling your turbo! It also shows the sweet side dump exhaust being built!
Sadly, what ended up happening was the realization that the carburetor is not a blow-through type and this mower won't run without one.
We are aware that you can put the turbo on the draw-through side of the turbo, but it won't be as efficient. This turbo is actually boosting to around 5-6 psi, and doing that setup could potentially bleed boost and efficiency.
Don't worry though, a solution has been thought of, and it may or may not have something to do with injection. If it does happen, you'll see it here!

If this comes back, make sure to have the hitch plate on. If you dump the clutch without it, you can blow your transaxle

Nice job. Have you done supporting mods to the carb to take the boost? Blow through is abit harder to setup than the draw through setup. Keen to see it going full send in the mud. Im not to sure which mower of mines going to go turbo just yet but have a tiny turbo ready to go

Draw through is 100% better, and we will be switching it over to draw-through soon. Also, turbocharging a mower is definitely an awesome project, glad to see more people out there that are doing this! Small turbos are always the best way to go btw… we learned that the hard way…

@@northwestexploration8119 i got one of them tiny turbos you get from those turbo buggies allready has the bolt holes to suit carby so there really small. But keen to see build progress and want to hear the turbo singing as its got a big rooster tail of mud coming out the back tyres

The top holes on that card one or 2 of them are vents you just need to drill the holes out

That’s a pretty dang good idea, but it’s switched to draw-through now, it works pretty good! Hopefully can get an update out on it sometime soon.

I have the same type of engine will it work if I put a mini bike air filter on it

Well, sadly this configuration doesn’t work. The carb is a draw-through carburetor, and we were trying to push air through it. This causes it to shut the fuel off. We fixed it by placing the carb on the air filter side of the turbo.

Haha, we’d have to run a test on that since most say a turbo on something that small won’t do much… might be a future video once it’s done!

@@Bumpkin06 It has to be set up as a draw through, jetting doesn’t make a difference in this situation. But to answer, part 3 will be driving, so very soon…
