I looked into the SS360's before buying the Carnivores. I think they'd work awesome but there generally isn't much snow where we unload and not sure I'd trust a 2ply tire in rocks/dirt.
I just put the carnivores on my x3. Have yet to try them in the snow. As much as I did not care for the stock big horns they handled fairly well in the snow. Good vid 👌
The carnivores are great in just about every terrain, best snow tire I've ran. Bighorns for a stock tire aren't bad but they should be 32's haha. Thanks for watching!
@@McCurdyOutdoors Mine was the stock blowoff valve ...same noise.. I could modulate the squeal with throttle. Full throttle it would go away because the valve was now fully closed. I picked a AA blowoff valve and problem solved.. but not before I bought a clutch kit, new belts and replaced all my clutch sliders.. doh Ditch the stock plastic Bov
@@SiredbyFire Damn...I've used several different belts and put a clutch kit on, nothing worked. I'll grab a BOV soon and see what happens. Appreciate the info!!!
Got to love playing in snow everytime i ride like you turn cam off so not bunch road riding video is when a deer or bear runs out lol . Now i am trying leave cam on more just have to edit more try catch those cool moments cheers cool video .
Used to live in Pocatello but moved from Idaho 24 years ago. Most of my family has now migrated to the Bose area so that is where I am planning to retire when I return next year.
what go pro mount do you use for the center roll cage bar in the windshield area? I've been looking for that exact set up! Awesome video man! I just got 30" Maxxis Carnivores myself and love them.
Yes but not sure the weight would be good on the clutch/transmission. I'd rather air down and attempt to float but the snow in this video just wasn't ideal.
@@McCurdyOutdoors that's true, I work on sxs and dirtbikes. They have a tire out that you can stud on the fly. I think rocky Mountain sells the stud kit. I just can't remember the tire manufacturer
@@sassafraswakeboyz4121 I'd definitely try studding before chains. Not sure we'll be doing anymore snow rides till spring - it's 3 feet deep as low as 4200'. Just not a lot of options besides the high desert.
Hey I’m out of nampa Idaho and have a 2020 pro xp4. Looking for someone to rip around with. Don’t like riding by my self. I know the silver city area really well but nervous about other locations
@@McCurdyOutdoors I love my pro, so freaking fast. I’m tall and the pro fits me personally better. Especially with the kids and wife going. My RZR ended up needing the clutch. Dennis Dillion is who is currently working on it. Still not done. Not sure why it’s taking so long. Looking forward to going with someone who knows more area’s. Silver city is getting boring. 😂 I’ll hit you up on facebook
I thought of building a small polished aluminum V-plow mounted just 2inches below the skid plate infront of my machine. To slide the snow off the V-plow so the skid plate is clearing snow and the wheels can bite into the ground. Quick mounted. Easy on easy off. V-plow height 6-8inch, width wide enough to clear the front wheel width.
Lol you are the guys digging up our snowmobile trails. Now I know who you are. I live in Meridian. Good fun video. Its too early to snowmobile anyway. This time of year is trash you sled season.
Camera angle ohh yeahh!!! Geez do you guys put to use these machines to use. If it was me i would of gave up I had no idea jow much abuse these can take.
From GV and surrounded by an entire mountain range of trails/roads and you're complaining about one that's legally open to wheeled traffic all year? Ooooooooof.
@@offroading2084 don't take it wrong brother. Just when you dig down and keep digging down in to the road. The roads just weren't frozen yet. I ride up here in the snow all the time. Sometimes you just dig in. I get it. Y'all should come ride now.! Snows is rotten but still fun as hell.
@@McCurdyOutdoors I'm not complaining. It pisses me off they are closing all the roads. All I was saying is let the roads freeze. Every time they dug in and kept digging it makes pot holes and when the snow melts it runs down the ruts not the side ditches. I believe we should be able to ride everywhere in our state its our land. I've put 3500 miles on in the last 2 yrs on all these roads and trails up here. Every time we the riders tear them up they fucking gate them off. We just can't tear it up.. thats all.
@@JustinEdinborough indeed, it is a fine line when to stop for sure. We were up there on Monday. Snow is deep and Froze solid. Terrible traction... 😒 Had a blast anyway! ✌👊
