I have a 89 and a 92 GT both with a lot of mods and tuned well that 2.2 engine is a fuckn beast and they are both 11 second cars I will never get rid of them. So Fuckin fun a blast to drive

Gal driving the Mustang can't even shift the car. But the Probe was way faster, would love to know what mods it had. Back in the day I had a stock Probe GT Turbo with a Auto trans, it was really fast on roll-ons... Would take on 5.0 Mustangs and beat them all the time....
That probe and mazda 3 were fast....i was impressed with the probe walking that camaro like nothing...1990 ford probe vs 2014 camaro with a turbo....lol

LS3...but yeah, I agree. I was actually surprised myself that a boost-fed LS3 would loose that badly. The only reason I could attribute that to is the car's weight. Modern cars are pigs. That Probe may be as much as 1000 pounds lighter...if not a little bit more assuming the driver gutted it. Makes a helluva difference. '88 Ford Probe GT curb weight: 2850 lbs. '10 Chevy Camaro SS curb weight: 3,741 to 3,860 lbs.
What's with the internals of that F2T? Where they stock? I know that the stock pistons are the weak link of F2T. But I dont know how far can you push them. p.s. I have a little bit bigger than stock turbo waiting for my Probe. :)
Tell you the truth, the piston is not the weak link, its the rod, the piston is good for 500whp+, the rod can snap at 500tq at anytime with mistake in tune, people usually crack their ring land because they running very lean, lean and bad gas cause heat, which causes the ringland to crack, but well tune F2T stock piston will see 500hp.
@@ademanster 500tq in lb or in NM? either way it's plenty. But the stroke and head design is not very rev friendly in those engines so it's not that much power to be gained in high revs.
@@rimka11 When i was on stock motor, i made 480whp on my highest boost 547tq at 31psi, and on 24 psi i made 428whp and 486tq, text me , ill send you dyno sheet
