This isn't a Delta airlines flight, all the safety cards say United. And as a frequently flyer, it was just a windy bumpy landing, maybe some wind-sheer but no microburst. And the view outside the window is not Boston....
@ Jeff J -- Yo ! just read your reply bro. Thanks. I'm pretty sure youre the kind of guy out there also trying to bring some sort of clarity and more positive fullness in the proactive potential of the comments sections of the world ✌🔛
That female flight attendant saying “ I can see you starting at me “ Duh ? She needs to go back to training . Of course people are going to stare at her in turbulence !
I GOT SO UPSET OF THAT BS ANNOUNCEMENT MADE BY THE 🤬 FLIGHT ATTENDANT!!! You should ALWAYS give your passengers something positive to look forward too after they land. Send her back to training 101.
That's "climb". Fixed it for ya! Gotta love that guy reading the magazine the whole time 2:05 The FA tried to reassure everyone, but then the Captain came on and said "we're going to try a different runway; if we don't make it in our alternate is Pittsburgh". I don't think that's too reassuring to those not familiar with flight procedure, especially as he doesn't even give the reason. 7:43 "Mama!" I've flown a lot and had 3 aborted landings. One on LH Cityline to L'viv. Captain due to heavy fog went on to Kyiv and we took a 7 hour bus back. I didn't mind though; safety is the most important thing! Another time on CO we flew directly into a major storm causing severe turbulence and instead of IAH went to CRP, then reboarded to IAH. Someone said "I've been flying for 40 years and never experienced anything like that!" Anyway just to explain for those who don't know, a flight plan is supposed to include an alternate airport just in case of things like this. A microburst could potentially crash a plane, so that's why this one was aborted. If I was on that flight I'd say, "don't worry everyone; I've flown millions of times and this is no big deal" while crossing my fingers. By the way this isn't Delta and not going to BOS; it's United either CRJ or Embraer plane.
@@kennystar9075 yes that is true. Micro bursts are far more dangerous to aircraft and thats why pilots will do their best to avoid them. They will divert or fly around them. But yes the are dangerous.
Don't kid yourself. The guy is "pretending" he is reading a magazine. Another flyer is "sleeping". Some folks are laughing. I saw the same thing in the Joplin tornado. People in the basement of their house with windows breaking upstairs, and they are "laughing". These are all ways to cope with the nerves at hand. Glad I have Xanax. Sounds like a passenger just went up and got on the phone and started talking to the passengers, "We are starting to climb. And I don't know why. I don't know why we have to go back up. Etc." Finally the captain cut her off, in a very professional manner, and said, "We might have to go to Pittsburgh." Translation: I don't like turbulence or microbursts or anything else like that. And then at the end of the video the passengers all give applause as they enter another round of turbulence and that's that!!
Well not all delta planes have screens, Some of there older jumper jets don’t. But yes this is United you can tell from the pamphlets in the seat and the winglet.
Me too just had it coming to riga, pilots trying to find a way to land next to a storm, turbulence was there but it was kind of fun, not that unpleasant
Not a Delta flight. You don't divert to all the way to Pittsburg from Boston. The footage is from different aircraft. Most of the footage is on an Airbus. The wing at :45 is Airbus, the wing at 16:06 is a Boeing 737.
@@patrickthemango756 It's not only about assuring, the whole announcement was very unprofessional. As a former CC and SCC, I'd never ever say something like that. It sounds like she just woke up.
Thats something I didn't catch, and surprises me. The non professionalism. Of the crew and the seats were loose in the mounts...a lot of them jiggled around. Poor maintenance. United has been defunct awhile now.
She really did not offer any information and cut off the start of the pilots announcement. It reminded me of this SNL skit. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ag0V_xSGZuc.html
Agree I don’t think she made anyone feel better . Very unprofessional . Of course passengers are starring at her when they have an aborted landing ! She’s in the wrong job .
I experienced strong turbulence several times. It did frighten me and tried not to feel this way... when I saw the flight attendant walking between us..somehow the airplane just rolled the coaster so hard (up and down quickly), she almost fell and controlled herself then continued to walk forward...
I can tell you don’t fly much because this is not a delta flight it’s a United airlines flight especially if you look outside of the wing it’s clearly a United aircraft. The seats are also are United airlines not Delta seats
What do you mean it is not normal? Sometimes it is possible that plane encounter turbulence and sometimes it might happen that the pilot flying make a go around or divert to another airport. The flight attendant knows what she is talking about. If you have questions about go around or turbulence then the channel Mentour Pilot explains what is happening when there is go around and with turbulence.
I heard Austin and microbursts are very common and deadly to aircraft in that area. If not handled appropriately the aircraft can be instantly slammed to the ground.
You should've been on Frontier about a week ago to Cincinnati that turbulence felt like a car crash a Female across the isle from me hit her head on the window the fella next to me hit his head on my shoulder and several people dropped their phones, and I lost one of my ear buds several isles down 😂 I'm never getting on another plane with that experience plus flying into Orlando we had to fly around for an hour more than we had to because it was to dangerous to land the pilot goes, we have a little extra gas but we may need to land in Tampa to refuel, and by then we may be able to land in Orlando 😂😂😂 that plane ride was making me sea-sick.
What's with the title of this clip? Your making it sound like there is a city called delta and the flight is from delta to Boston. Whichever braniac came up with this obviously didn't think this through lol.
A Delta flight? Why then, is there a United Airlines safety card in the pocket of the passenger on the right's seat? Also- spellcheck: Climb, not clime.
I do not think any announcements were unprofessional . She wanted to let everyone know that they were aware of the situation. As a flight attendant, I want to communicate to the passengers ASAP. The cockpit isn’t going to call with any info because they are busy with an aborted landing and windshear All she did was acknowledge something was happening. There is no script written for that
Ok. Here's an easy reply. "Ladies and Gentlemen, as you may have noticed, the flight crew has aborted this landing, most likely due to the weather conditions you may have noticed during descent. The pilots will now climb to a usual altitude to prepare for another approach to . Please remain seated with your seatbelts on, and we will be landing shortly. Thank you for flying with us today." There. There's your script you said wasn't written.
A flight attendant should know better than to say over the mic “ your all starring at me , etc. I say this with much respect for the flight crews as someone who is a frequent flyer , and thinks they do a fantastic job usually . I have sat next to many people that were scared to fly to begin with , add in some turbulence, and it became even worse for them . A flight attendant is supposed to reassure the passengers , not get defensive .
United did this to me in the 1980s landing at LAX. Pilot couldn't stick the landing twice and announced that they were going to try Ontario instead. Ended up landing on the third try. I don't fly United, ever, but the pilot that day did great.
2:18 “ It doesn’t happen often” And that is why the go around manoeuvre is the one that is often done poorly by flight crew. The wind shear escape manoeuvre is even more rare (outside of the simulator) and more often than not turns into a sh1t sandwich. The hardest part about flying a plane is the ground, and when things do get out of hand having as much distance between the plane and the dirt is the safest thing to do.
@RLTtizME Sure do, they come equiped with a flight management system, auto throttle, head up guidance system, TCAS, EGPWS and fail active auto land capability. Not bad for a couple of hundred million, you should get yourself one.
That’s not the inside of a Delta plane, or did you mean there’s a city called Delta?? The only town I know of called Delta is in Colorado, and I’m pretty sure they don’t have flights to Boston!!
Yep , roughest take off I ever experienced. I’m Australian it was 1980 in Boeing 727. I landed back there a few days later, it was much smoother . I had to really hang on on the airstairs because of the wind. The airport was closed the next day.
The flight attendant had NO BUSINESS making that announcement. She is not a pilot she is not the captain. She should have just remind everyone to keep your seats, fastened seatbelts and leave the explanations for the go around to the CAPTAIN!
The guy on the right is reading about plants.... How the heck does anyone pay attention to anything let alone learning about plants during this turbulence?
Just like pilots and flight attendants are paying attention to what they do during this. Perhaps he likes plants and plants of important in his life now. Turbulence wasn't that bad and it's just Turbulence after all, he was just trying to read and that's it
