Massive anti-Syria protests erupted in Turkey after a Syrian man was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 7-year-old Syrian girl in the NATO nation. Following social media hysteria, Turkish people demanded the ouster of Syrian refugees from the country. It also triggered riots late on Sunday. The violence triggered Syrians in Turkey, who vandalised shops, hurled stones at Turkish trucks, tore Turkish flags and even opened fire at Turkish troops. Four people have died in the mayhem and 470 more have been detained. Watch.

Some 2.6 million Syrian refugees were sent to West Europe from UNHCR camps in Turkey. Turkey sent them for a reason: 2.6 million people less in Syria and in Southern Turkey resulted in much better conditions for the invasion and occupation of parts of Syria. And now see the outcome. Isn't it a strange situation that Turkey itself has occupied parts of Syria on one hand and on the other hand Turkey supports the Palestinians who fight against the occupation of their homeland Palestine?

Before that romans an uropean empire displaced the hebrews (alleged ancestors of uropean juice) AND SCATTERED them all over the world. after suffering under urope for so long naturally they became selfish and decided to trample over someone else for their own gain since it was obvious that they were not welcome in urope. The palest were just unlucky enough to have been the target.

TOI narrative requires a bit of correction here. The people who have been killed in clashes with Turkish Army in Syria, are Syrian civilians and not Syrian military men. The Syrian military has not fired on any Turkish soldier or Turkish border guard, and there have been no clashes between Syrian military and Turkish military. It has so happened, that in northern towns of Syria which have been under illegal occupation of Turkish Army for some years now because of Turkey's greed for oil, Syrian civilians gathered in spontaneous protests before the Turkish Army units to register their unhappiness at the killings of fellow Syrians in riots across Turkey. Altercations ensued and blew into stone-pelting, precipitating fatal firing on those Syrian civilian protestors by the Turkish occupation Army units stationed in Syria. The Turkish soldiers who fired on Syrian civilians are part of an occupation Army, and their victims are civilians, not soldiers

Thanks for the clarification. I'm not surprised this happened, it's only surprising tensions took so many years for a flare-up of this size to ignite. Turkey wants the Syrian oil but it also wants land, lots of land. They have territorial claims all over the Middle East, Balkans, North Africa, Aegean and even the Crimea of all places. Erdogan and many ultra-nationalists like Devlet Bahceli continuously declare their objective of reclaiming these 'homelands' in their speeches. Some people say it's for public consumption but as we see in Syria they haven't withdrawn after many years nor does it appear they are ever intending to.
