Turkish economy flying high for now 

Congrats Turkey !!! I hope u don't hurry to join the EU as it is now a failing union, if u join EU you'll have to shoulder economic risks posed by its economically-failing member countries. The future is ASIA, not Europe, so Turkey better turn to Asia rather than begging to be accepted in a union whose members do not consider u a part of them. Afterall, Turkey is more Asian than European in terms of ethnicity and location

Turkey will never truly enter the european union. We know it well because it is a union of christians and they don't want an islamic country among them regardless of how developed we are. It is okay we the turkish people know it already and rather than being a member of the union, the process of joining the europe is important to us. The reforms we have to fullfill in order to join such as law criterias, human rights criterias etc. Thats our goal and it is pretty obvious that EU has no future.

I'm Arab myself. And that I say that Turkey is not in the Arab world is not a slander to anyone. It's a fact. There's nothing wrong being in the Arab world, or out of it.

You can thank Erdogan and the AKP for Turkey's stellar economic performance in the past decade. Love the man or hate the man but one thing is for sure you can not deny Erdogan and the AKP's management of the economy. Three consecutive huge majorities in parliament, excellent management of the economy, average Turkish incomes tripled under his government, constitutional reform, Erdogan is a 21st century legend and history books will be kind to him and his party.

Compare Greece (the beacon of western democracy/ideology) to Turkey (the rising Islamic power) Good times ahead : )
