TURKISH GUY REACTS TO GREECE'S EUROVISION 2024 ARTIST - MARINA SATTI 

She sings "tha s' afisso pali" which means "I will leave you again". She puts a lot of cultural and traditional elements in her songs and videos, and Christian Orthodoxy has a tremendous cultural and historical impact in Greece, apart from the strictly religious / spiritual one. And the region must be Macedonia, the northermost part of Greece :)

So surreal to see a Eurovision RU-vidr (and one of the coolest ones) to react to Marina, still can't believe that she is gonna represent us on ESC, i've been wanting this since forever. She is one of the most special and versatile artists in Greece, you should definitely check out more from her debut album ''Yenna'', songs like Ponos Krifos, Spirto Ke Venzini, Kritiko definitely deserve anyone's attention. And of course ''Mantissa'', her big viral hit back in 2017 with a must-watch music video (it was shot in one take inside Athens' centre). You should expect the highly requested return of the Greek lyrics, i even doubt that she will include any English in her track. You should also expect creative visuals and heavy traditional Greek sound, packed with storytelling and some top tier production. It was about time to send a full, musical package to ESC, after a long period of western approaches with, most of the times, unknown artists to the Greek public. So hyped up!

You could react to her song “mantissa”. I think that was her first song that came out and she went viral with it. To this day the video has 55 million views. She composed and sang the song. Marina graduated from Berklee College of music, she knows what she’s doing and she can sing live perfectly (it’s like listening to a recording). She acts too.

Both Marina and Evangelia are from Crete! You guessed right. Us Greeks are proud of Marina. It can be a top 5 entry this year. I really hope we see Turkey back in the contest.

Greece deserves another victory in Eurovision Song Contest

Mantissa is my favourite song of Marina. Marina was raised in Crete but born in Athens so she has influences from Crete and Greek tradition. Religion is an artists personal thing so she picks to show this side of her in the video but it doesnt mean youll see it in eurovision. Marina is an amazing Greek artist. Everyone, literally EVERYONE IN GREECE IS SO HAPPY WITH MARINA REPRESENTING OUR COUNTRY.

Some background. She from Crete. She is the product of akretan greek mother and an Arab from Sudan. She has numerous hits world wide and since a lot of traditional song from Greece. She also has Slavic song hits as well other Balkan songs. Shi is a highly educated woman in music dance

You should also watch her song "mantissa" it's her best song so far and it has all the traditional melodies and stuff. Also she has never sung in English so probably the song will be in Greek.

Great reaction! Tbf I think you should have reacted to ''Mantissa''. This was her first and most viral song but in general her vibe is ethnic/alternative/contemporary with a mainstream sense. Finally expectations are high (depending on the song of course)!

Greece came in prepared to win Eurovision song contest next year 2024

While I hope not to cause any controversy, I personally believe that she is more talented than Ariana Grande. (Maybe not enough white but still haha) Her Balkan heritage and unique background make her stand out. It's not a competition, but as a musician, I can see that she has received a solid musical education and possesses a wide range of talents beyond just singing..and acting!

Marina is the most famous folk singer in Greece 🇬🇷 her mom is from Crete her dad is from Sudan 🇸🇩 😂 she has better songs than this to react ❤dance songs I mean she is not religious she just put folk Greek aesthetic in all of her videos 😂

She seems 2b a serious musician. Why not come up with something original and not typically eurovision. I do not think she is an Ariana Grande or a Rosalía and I would like to see her in the next song, not her influences. She has tall the tools.

Many Greeks are disappointed and sad with the decision of the Greek broadcaster to send her to Eurovision. The comments section of the Greek newspaper Proto Thema is full of negative comments. Most Greeks believe that her voice and songs are low quality. I hope she won't read them. Also, Luben TV, a very popular Greek RU-vid channel, published a video making fun of the quality of her music.

As a person I am not interested in the Eurovision song contest but as a Greek I do not find anything positive about her. Her voice is tonally correct but not at all interesting and certainly not as captivating as many believe. Her music appeals to a low level audience (Greeks and others). Her music is awful and her appearance/performance on videos etc is horrible (if not horrifying). We Greeks, trying to overcome our aesthetic decline, we try to create idols out of nowhere. This year's choice of the National Radio and Television Commission of Greece was not only bad but also unfair. The opportunity was not given to other artists to present their songs and compete for who will represent Greece in the competition.
