When Ayhan Hulagu moved from Turkey to the United States, he began the painstaking process of learning English. His goal? To perform Karagöz, the 700-year-old art of Anatolian shadow puppetry for a Western audience. Now he runs the Karagoz Theatre Company.

Dear Ayhan Hulagu, I am a Turkish teacher living in Australia. I was looking for an informative video to show my students; let them explore the fantastic world of Karagöz and Hacivat. Thank you for giving life to one of our oldest traditional theatrical art. I really appreciate your efforts.
