If the west (the USA) was sincere about peace in the middle east, the first thing they would do is insist Israel withdraw from all the occupied land (as per International law) in the same way they insisted Iraq withdraw from and relinquish their ancient claim on Kuwait.
It makes sense that erdogan is talking about Palestine. Palestine was a province of the ottoman empire(aka modern day turkiye) for hundreds of years before Israel. Who knows maybe one day the Palestinians could vote to have Palestine rejoin turkiye and be the economic powerhouse that it once was.

In my stern opinion as a former Army combat vet who served 10yrs total with 14months in Afganistán. A great speech. The UN is not united nations with only 5 permanent members out of 193 countries who can veto any decisions they don't like. To be fair it should be a vote from ALL states involved.

If he had the courage of his convictions, Turkey could send its army to Gaza to prevent its complete destruction, which will make the place unlivable. When that happens, hundreds of thousands of Gazans will be forced to flee their homeland or die there.
