Thanks for this strat! I can comfirm that you can stay on tier 2 till the end, on lower mnr (7k). Got the hero offered yesteray, after seeing this vid, so I HAD to try it. Got 2 of those 6 drops with my hp/buddy. Game was over by turn 11.
Just for the record, each spell (other than the 3 health one) effectively costs two gold - a reroll and purchase. The 2 gold one to give +1/+1 to all isn't good to see, but once you've seen it it's just as gold efficient to buy it as it is to reroll+buy a 1 cost. You'd end up with just as many spells, and a better one since it's actually good for your team. You do hope to not see it, but when you see it you should buy it.
how is shiny ring that bad nala buff on everyone and plus one plus one to everyone as well for 2 gold. maybe i am not understanding something and if there is a reason why this is objectively bad in this situation please help me understand?
He sort of talks about it later - it is the most expensive spell (not counting oil), so generally means less Nala buffs overall. All the other 2-cost spells actually only cost 1 (if you sell the minion) or give you more money next turn, and rolling means you can either find coin (free nala buff), or the health cost coin (nala buff that actually makes money).
Using the ring doesnt boosts your board twice? If u pick a 1 gold spell and roll u have spent the same gold and only buffed once also risking getting another 2 gold spell.
"for low mmr's this could probably just take a lobby" I think there's a disconnect between your idea of low mmr lobbies vs. high, it's not just 8 idiots donkey rolling at each other. The 6-8k range is chock full of players who know end game meta comps but have zero consistency navigating to those comps effectively. This comp would probably go exactly the same in low mmr lobbies, easy top 4, 3rd place finish if you're lucky because the 1-2 players who get lucky and navigate to a good scaling engine or end game comp will trounce you.
