Are you still with the CVMA? I was looking at sissy bar bags and had been thinking about turning a backpack into a sissy bar bag for my trip to this years Nationals event in June. Great video by the way, inspiring 🤓👍🏻🇺🇸
Hey man. Thanks for this video. I ordered mine off Amazon up here in Canada. $25. It’s like a 20L pack. One of the best DIYs I’ve done to my bike and I’ve done a lot. Cheers brother!
Military surplus bags make for the best sissybar bags. A little mod here and there, and you've got something that'll outlast the other name brands out there.
Would some kind soul throw a link to a pack you bought and got this setup working? Seemed to be quite a few on Amazon that were similar but not the same wrt the bladder/strap setup. Thanks.
Could instead make a pvc frame to fit into the water bladder slot to create stability and not have to compromise the bag. Cool idea thought 💭 looks solid.
Exactly, improvise and overcome. Made it work and it looks tight. Saved money too. Thanks for the video. I'm all about saving money on stuff. Then when I want a Steak dinner out, Bam, I got the cheese to do it.
I have the same pack! But mine is black. I'm going to ride the dragons tail next month with some buddies and this is the perfect solution for me! Thanks my dude!
Hmmm I have a backpack that’s similar to that one and the sissy bar pack I was gifted isn’t fitting how I want it to , I might go this route as well thanks brother !
Just bought a bike after about 15 years of not riding and looking at storage found this. The first thing that popped into my head: Nice CVMA beanie! Going to check out a meeting soon myself after an old Battalion buddy of mine suggested it. Thanks for the video!
Maybe 8 years ago I did this, but with an old tank bag. Instead of a water bladder, it had a pocket that held backpack straps. I split the bottom and sewed the edges. Slipped right over the sissy bar
Thank you for posting this. I bought a backpack a few weeks ago (used $5) for added storage for trips to the store and work. I was ok with wearing it on my back when needed. Saw you video and and hour or so that evening had a great looking sissy bar bag. Thanks so much and keep posting!
Nice video! I have been looking for a cheap way to add a bag on my bike. Having said that I don’t like bags on my style Of bike really. However been many times I could use one. What you did is give me an idea for modifying a backpack to just go over my backrest, with no luggage rack. I hope it when I get it done it’s secure without a luggage rack. Thank You for putting this idea into my head
Awesome idea thanks for sharing. I've been trying to figure out a solution for my wide glide for 2 up rides with gear. I've tried a few different packs and nothing seemed to work out how I wanted. This is perfect for what I already have.
Nah, good video and good add-on. I'll sometimes strap my backpack to the rear depending on the situation. This, though, has definitely got me thinking about a more permanent addition. Stay cool, man.
Literally just got this bag today and was looking for ideas. Thanks for posting this! What bungee cords did you use on the bottom? I have a 6-pack rack too.
It's good to see you post up another video, I just took delivery of my fat bob this week I got through military auto sales. The heat wrap looks great on your bike and your video does have me thinking now.
