Turn a Sweetgum Crotch Bowl 

As woodturners, we eventually develop an "eagle eye" for curb wood. On my way to work a few weeks back I spied this beautiful sweetgum on the curb. Typically, I try to return a piece to the homeowner as a sort of thank you. This bowl was of one of the "Thank You" pieces that I returned to this homeowner.

Shine Juice Recipe:
1 part de-waxed Shellac
1 part denatured alcohol
1/2 part boiled linseed oil
