@@crawmslor5943 they got rid of that? Dont know how I feel about that. On one hand it's annoying, on the other its accurate to how religious zealots would have reacted to 'others'. I need to reload my game soon.
If you think about characters getting strapped into a chair when you put them into sanitarium i think she is performing that with like 4 nurses until the patient is no longer sick
@@voodooozo3755 Then have all your trinkets stolen/lost by your heroes at the Bar lol. Oooor alternatively, don't treat your heroes, so they keep abusing and hitting each other until they have a heart attack.
@@masterblaster2678 I know right? Who treats their characters? If they crack under the pressure, they were too weak for my needs anyway. Let the Weald claim the refuse of my ambition. It no longer serves any greater purpose.
"Hail, doughty adventurers! You all seem tired; here, let me share some of this grand merlot with you!" *TEMPTING GOBLET!* "Whoops! How clumsy of me :^)"
The Ancestor hey, how‘s the heart of darkness been recently, haven’t had to banish any of it‘s abominations in the recent past, so I was wondering what happened.
@@eldritchgod4308 lmao imagine it just finally decided to go back to bed and wait for humanity to destroy itself so it doesn't have to keep getting beat up by the same damned knight and his flintlock-toting boyfriend
You gotta respect that Reynauld, even in his fantasies with Dismas, refuses to take his helmet off. “Sorry, Dismas, but the helmet stays on during sex”
Religious Heroes: *"TURN IT OFF!"* The Ancestor: *"The darkness holds much worse than mere trickery and boogeymen..."* The Leper: I am not feeling well. *The Worries*
This looks like something they would actaully say Edit: Now I can only think of the vessel or crusader going crazy in the midle of a battle and strats dancing, and she/he dances so good that everyone stops what they are doing and waches
This is a very empathetic take; both the song, and the animation. Rather than treating the characters as dogmatic for no reason, it shows that many of them have trauma, both self and outwardly afflicted, and they're using the flawed methods given to them to cope as best they can; and in a co-dependent and twisted way, support each other. They care, they just don't know how to.
A lot of people say that the hero’s don’t like each other pointing at their awkward camping interactions but I always felt like that was just cause they’re having trouble dealing with the stress of dungeon crawling and find it hard to talk to their allies
DD's community has got to be one of the best fandoms I've been a part of. Probably because we all went through the same agony this game made us go through. Shared pain = Friendship
@@asdalel1313 Thats what many characters in this game do, crusader cc trinkets refer to a mistake he made that he doesnt want to remember beacuse "regret is a sin", vestal is horny and some other stuff.

@@timjones5953 Yep, the class is based on Baldwin IV The Leper, the king of Jerusalem before the Third Crusade. He and a certain other knight (more on that later) fought Saladin with a severe disadvantage in numbers and won. The other leader's name was Lord Raynald of Châtillon (sound familliar?), who was "Always in need of funds", hence the kleptomaniac trait in the game. Dismas, the highwayman, was also a pretty important guy. Dismas, the Penitent Thief, was one of the 2 thieves crucified with Jesus, he supposedly accepted Jesus and repented. There's a bunch of references like this in DD, some are more obvious than others.
I was just playing darkest dungeons you absolute psychic Edit: I fell in mega love with this song, found the origin, and decided to copy down the lyrics for myself and whoever else wants them, so here they are: Lyrics: I got a feelin' [P1] That you could be feelin' A whole lot better Than you feel today You say you gotta problem, Well that's no problem It's super easy not to feel that way When you start to get confused Because of thoughts in your head, Don't feel those feelings, Hold them in inste-e-ead! "I just wanted to pray..." Well that's too bad, Leper! Because the f*cking Caretaker LOCKED himself in the transept a month ago and He REFUSES to come out!
Holy crap, I was just playing this game again yesterday after a long while, what a coincidence. Amazing and fitting animatic as always, now continue the onslaught! Destroy. Them. All.
I think I understand why my Vestal abandoned the church now. And yes I did actually have my Vestal by random happenstance, the character who's powers come from faith, abandon said faith after our plague doctor died
Darkest Dungeon and Lisa: The Painful...you certainly have a type huh 😂 keep up the awesome animatics (I cant believe u did the whole song it's so good!)
It's quite difficult and the rng will make you throw things at walls. This game will break you. Absolutely recommended. Remember that the classes that start with H are the best ones, and also plague doctor.
Junia the vestel dealt with abuse in her childhood and became part of a church to heal her pain. But, that did not help her sexual tensions she had to leave the old church from oppression and became part of a new one. Reynauld joined because he needed absolution after leaving his family to be an adventurer and his best friend leaving him. One day, reynald he told his friend dismas his story and Dismas' trauma set off from a painful memory of how he accidentally killed a woman and child from a failed robbery. Dismas felt guilty from that and had to go his separate ways from reynald cuz he couldn't forgive himself because it could've been Reynauld's family. And reynauld had certain feelings for Dismas because he reminded of himself when he left his family. The Flagellant? You got me there.
I love that you made the Flagellant missing a tooth where in the comic art about his origin; He lost a tooth after being beaten up by a couple of drunks as a beggar.
It's my fourth time replaying this... Just.. everything.. it's beautiful (despite the obvious wrong message on the song). The face on the jester at the end just gets me everytime. Like he's reaally impressed and proud for them. Also the gay crusader part is incredible
As a guy named Steve who loves using Dismas with a passion, I'm expecting a knight to start hitting on me subconsciously before a collector comes for me
