Convert an extremely low-resolution image of a face to a high-resolution one with a new face reconstruction AI technology for free! In this video, we will use GFPGAN to easily reconstruct faces and upscale the image.
Just scratching the surface of storytelling and video experimentation. VideoGPT seamlessly integrated into my process, subtly refining my content with its magic touch.
Crop the picture into a square, use the offset tool in photoshop under Tools > Other > OFfset. Clean the seams, repeat the offset to see if there’s anything left. Done!
Stuff like this changes details, especially when you scale up by a factor of 8 all at once. When I upscale images of people, I use stable diffusion with controlnet tile resample, controlnet depth, and controlnet lineart realistic. I use the extension Ultimate SD Upscale with an upscaler called 4x_NMKD-Siax_200k. In the img2img Settings I use a cfg of 3 and a denoising of 0.3~0.35 when I want to keep details as original as possible, with a prompt that accurately describes what’s in the image. I run it with a scaling factor of 2 at a time, and my images usually turn out great. But that takes time to pick up
Technology is already at the point where you could scan a few grainy photos and low-res video recordings from 30 years ago, let's say of a deceased relative, feed that data to an AI, and get some fairly convincing 4K videos of that person that look like they were recorded yesterday, or even interact with a webcam style video of that person in real time like you're having a video call. Throw VR into the mix, and it's a rabbit hole which humanity is never going to be able to crawl out of. I just uploaded a low quality digital photo of a grainy black and white newspaper clipping of my mother from the 80s, and it felt like looking at a ghost. The AI essentially painted a photo realistic portrait using the original image as a reference, and improved it exponentially. Even a photoshop wizard with all the photoshop magic in the world couldn't get results this good.
Back in the 60's a computer programming pioneer once said "Any technology that is sufficiently developed and advanced enough is virtually indistinguishable from Magic"
They have started charge now. And the worst thing is they didn't set the price. Price depends on your image resolution. If we didn't get the desired results so how can we pay for single image again and again. 😒
