For ages i have been trying to get my stock horn to work on my 68 ford and did not know the peice that was broken on my turn signal switch was part of the horn. Now i followed this video and my turn signals work again along with my horn. This video was very helpful. Thanks
In order to remove the column where the wires go through you have to remove a snap ring. it is on the steering shaft. once you remove the snap ring just pull on the column part and it should come off. then you can run the wires down through the hole in the steering column. makes life easier. you should be able to see the snap ring once the steering wheel is off. hope this helps.....Great video Kris. I was working on a 77 f100, but should be the same.
You have encourage me to do my own replacing of my turn signal switch. I have leaned that it is not a bad idea to tie a string to the wires before pulling them out, so it might be easier to feed back the new wires. Thank you for the lesson.
Hey hair and beard dude, where did you buy your replacement parts? I have a '72 f-250 same as your steering. I need a rag joint and turn signal replacement. My column is a 75 though. I put power steering on my truck
