Jason is 57, he was in the biggest metal band ever for 14 years in their very prime conquering the whole world, he abandoned his dream to become happy and now - he just enjoys his life. What a story. 🤘🤘🤘😁😁😁😁
@@Sayajin3321 He has sung harmonies live with James. That was actual singing. But yeah, you're right, it's a first to hear him singing this clean. And he actually sings well.
+E. Scott, I miss his vocals too, Rob is probably a better Bass player (he uses his fingers, but even more uniquely he uses 3 fingers) but when it comes to backing vocals nobody can touch Jason. As Jason would say, he's a good "cat".
spiralout72 well he has made some crazy choices that's for sure. But a net worth of 40 million is far from broke. And I would about bet there are not very many bass players that have any more of a net worth than Jason does.
@spiralout72 You're never "broke" if you've got love. And like the Beatles said, money can't buy it and it's all you need. So give the guy some love bro!
I don't care much for his post-Metallica endeavors, though it's awesome that he joined Voivod, but I gotta respect the fact that he walked out of Metallica. It's something nobody has ever done before him. He valued his own self-respect and artistic integrity over the money and glory of being in such a huge band. But hey Jason, don't forget about Flotsam!
Walked out after he made the money. What great integrity! Do you even think before you post? Jason is a fool for leaving. His career went nowhere. Now he plays in shitty bars.
I live up here in Boston Massachusetts and I saw Metallica four times they are my favorite band twice with Jason Newsted and twice with Robert Trujillo and I really love this version of Turn the page with Jason singing I've heard him sing Seek and Destroy his voice makes that song but this version of Turn the Page his voice is off the hook I love it.....
Jason from year to year becoming tougher and his musical spirit feels just from video. Awesome guy! Keep rocking Jason! We need you! P.s. Thank You so much for this video! Picture and audio are great! Nice work!
looks and sounds great. proud of you Jason for following your heart and supporting your mother too. Your voice is awesome and honestly better than a former bandmate's
Met this guy at the Philadelphia Spectrum on The Black Album tour absolute fucking Class Act inspiration gentleman and has the steel running through his veins
He was the singer in flotsam b4 he got Tallica gig. That was his band he he wrote arranged n bass n sang. A true musician. Played guitar 4 years. Watch the in a life of shows part of his collection
Dancerdh it’s 25 bucks at the door I believe I purchased the RSVP....so I can have a nice table and a meet and greet although I’ve met Jason many times here in WPB I always Ike to say hello again!!!!
@@vasya.vasya24 That's because his hiring as a bassist was business to keep Metallica moving. When Cliff died it was more personal for them to have found a new member, not too mention they were alot younger and the comradery of being in a band as brothers was alot higher. Trust me, I don't think Rob minds one bit when he looks at his bank account, that he was a hired musician for Metallica.
Ah be reis şu hale bak bar gitaristi olmuşsun 5 milyon kisilik moskova konserinden nerelere, akustik elinde emanet gibi durmuş al şu bass ı öttür sahnelerde çok özledik...
His concerts with Newsted are pretty big. Not Metallica-level big, but still. It's like comparing his normal performances to 'tallica's Antartica concert with like 300 people.
