i am a tax paying British citizen i have paid all my 30 plus years of nat ins i am now sleeping on the living room floor of my elderly mother as no landlord yet will accept me because i dont earn the £30,000 plus a year salary you need to qualify for a 2 bed basic flat i need for me and my son whos at college.i also applied to join a local GP practice who say they are not taking on new patients Where is the help for people like me ? There will be more of us in the coming months and years. i have lost faith in the system i have paid for all my working life Its a disgrace.

The UK government is bound hand and foot by The 1951 Refugee Convention. At that time there were 2.5 billion people in the world. Now we are 8 billion. You can't use rules from 1951 to regulate the world in 2023. Well, you can. But then things go terribly wrong. The ancient refugee rules MUST be changed to at least not include welfare migrants as so-called 'refugees'.

The man who said “after processing 75% are deemed to be genuine asylum seekers” leaves out the fact that the process whereby they get this approval is suspect and needs very close investigation (whether it be dodgy lawyers or a home office dealing with too many claims to have time to carefully vet the applications etc). This is a sleight of hand reply in my humble opinion. We know for a fact for example that most small boat arrivals do not have passports (from a freedom of information request), and also identifying materials are thrown into the water before arrival (from oral evidence in front of a Parliamentary select committee).

It is really like you can't even protect your own home. And just let any strangers walked in, give them rooms to stay, feed them,give them money and in the end, they have no gratitude. Lucky if they don't hurt you & family 🙈

Its ironic that a former priminister would have dealt with this situation in a matter of weeks. She had more spine than all the men currently in office. The current situation is population replacement, or in simpler terms, an enabled invasion of fighting age men. I left Immigration when Blair was in power as it was the only corrupt , abusive (towards staff who told the truth) place I have worked. they gave amnesties , didn’t remove illegals etc . Staff weren’t trained , people were moved and promoted if they were abusive , corrupt and people with integrity driven out.

The heart of this whole problem stems from the fact that ANY immigration / asylum control policy depends on having the stomach to send back those who do not qualify. Somewhere in the past we lost the appetite for enforcing that part of the equation a and everything since then has been progressively distorted to avoid facing that unpleasant and uncomfortable fact. When a politician finally comes along with the backbone to at least try to enforce the part of the deal that involves making those 'difficult' decisions they're labeled 'racist' and 'fascist'. The majority of the British public just want SOME control exercised and government after government over the last 30+ years has wriggled out of this tough responsibility.

Unfortunately most don't have paperwork. Young men alledgely posing sometimes as children. Not true,there is due process approx 1.5 million just over a year and 10 million taken in over 5 year through right application s 🇬🇧 cannot sustain this. They are bi passing numerous safe countries,I wonder why... Not just the boats 5 countries linked to the Commonwealth don't need visa s so they are alledgely not going home and declaring they have no means to get back. Again 4 square meals a day 5⭐ hotels and that's just for starters at tax payers expense. Meantime our own homeless and Vets on the street. People waiting over 8 years for social housing. People getting chucked out hotels,staff paid off at short notice and wedding s being cancelled, allegedly. 🤕

Perhaps if those processing these applications were actually at work rather than sat on their ass WFH, they need to be paid per application processed then they may actually do what they're paid for.

Dont turn them back and cause potential harm or risk, but pick them up on bigger boats., feed them, water them, make sure theyre medically okay, then return them to the French shore without dinghys. Do that as many times as it takes. Its exactly what Australia Border Force does and it works.
